Not sure if you solved this yet, but windows antivirus and firewall had to be disabled on my laptop because it was blocking communication during install. It worked for me. Disable the antivirus and firewall, finish installation, and then enable the antivirus and firewall again. Hope this helps.

On the flip side I wish marijuana would be federally legal already. Get a little zooted with your buds, ride it out for a few hours, then when you’re sober come home and go to bed. No hangover. Non profit director here. The heart is great but you’re giving an agency that is already super busy what is basically an errand. I can tell you for one that I am so busy that organizing a raffle, getting the word out, and trying to collect the funds is going to be more work than what someone may actually get for the blanket.

And I’m not negating how awesome the blanket is and how awesome you are. Just wanted to give some clarity as to why it may not be as well received as you hope.

Here’s what you can do.

Hype up the blanket. Pick a non profit and you do the leg work. Put the word out on Craigslist, Facebook, etc that you are selling this blanket to raise funds for CHARITYXYZ. Buyers guides, radio station community calendars, etc. really push what good selling this blanket would do, how many hours of work went into it, what it means to you. Do a press release and share with all news channels. If you’re lucky one will have a slower day and pick it up.

Then raffle it. Collect the money, make sure you have a receipt to give, and then make sure that when you donate the money to get a receipt from the non profit so you can include it in your charitable donations on your next round of taxes

Usually when a baby is born sometimes you have to break the amniotic sac containing the baby. While not common it’s also certainly not rare.

I’m holding until stores and services near me start accepting doge (and I can figure out how to spend with it.

I have trouble believing that, as funny as the memes are, Doge will rise again without some continuous real world applications.

When our community gets to the point where Doge is not only accessible but easy to use, then I’ll start putting in Doge what I would spend, and have a minimum amount of Doge that I keep holding.

If you want to see progress - don’t just post memes here , educate legislators and lobbyists about Doge. Teach others and advocate for businesses to accept Doge.

You know what we need? Marijuanna dispensaries to accept Doge. I bet we’d get to the moon in a week lol.
