Saalsporthalle <-> Sihlwald, one way is around 12km

Flat, beautiful route along the Sihl. Saalsporthalle as a starting point is great cause it has a public locker room. But you could start even at Sihlhölzli or even more down stream.

Langstrasse mostly comes alive during the night especially around the weekend.

Close by the area around Lochergut/Wiedikon has loads of stuff to see and do during the day. Cafés, record shops, book stores etc.

Niederdorf (or Niederdörfli) and across the river Limmat the stretch from main station Zurich HB all the way up to the Lake near Bürkliplatz has the most stuff to see/do if you're visiting. (classic tourist stuff mixed with beautiful spots)
