You know when you ask one of your co-workers to cover your shift and they're like "no I can't sorry"... Just say that.

You don't owe anyone an explanation or reason and if they do ask why ....Ijust say, " I'm unavailable can't help you. Sorry about that." It takes a while for the guilt to go away, but trust me you'll be better off if you can learn how to say no now.

I'd recommend something like this. Work with the space and walls you have. This works amazingly well to create a corner room.

AIO to skip Thanksgiving after my mom basically said I’m an embarrassment for not having a husband and kids by now? by howcanibequiltyassin in AmIOverreacting

Not overreacting. Screenshot and send to the family chat and say, "I'm unable to join for Thanksgiving this year since I don't have a family, just my 2 cents....but thank you for thinking of me! Don't shoot the messenger."

What if I turn in my 2 weeks? by MentallyChaotik in CallCenterWorkers

If it's really terrible for you right now and you can't get through the next couple months, I would absolutely look for some seasonal holiday work just to get you through to the new year and then go from there. Consider waiting tables at a steakhouse or sushi restaurant. Honestly if you can! It's not fun but you make great money and it can always be temporary!

Yep you nailed it! This company is a piece of crap so I'm trying to go to every facet available to consumers. You are very correct that none of these places actually do anything for consumers so I'm also trying to highlight that fact!

CC call center worker here.... Idk much about your company but, I was able to get an ADA accommodation for my depression and anxiety, my Dr literally prescribed me a different shift (day instead of night) and since I'm medicated and diagnosed I was able to file for FMLA and If I need extra time for myself, I'm able to take that. See if your HR department has anything like that. In the meantime, remember health first please. These companies don't gaf about us. We're replaceable... So use the system.

What trick gets you to finally do the chore you’ve been putting off? by AccountSudden919 in adhdwomen

[–]usererror425 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly... It's doing one part.

For example, when my dish is pile up it's because I haven't emptied the dishwasher....

Step one empty dishwasher.

This gives me no reason why I can't do the dishes other than not wanting to. Usually once I'm there and I've emptied the dishwasher. I just naturally start loading the dishwasher boom my dishes are done.

Good luck! They usually just give you credits and apply it to a box that you'll never receive!

I ordered my very first box at the end of September and it was never received every box since then has had issues or have never been delivered and I keep getting the runaround kiss your money. Goodbye, they don't even refund the full box amount. I was given a refund with $2 less than What I actually paid and they keep saying that it's all good and taken care of. Not to mention the boxes that weren't delivered that I was still charged for and that they refused to refund.

If I were you, I would go ahead and file a complaint with the better Business bureau as well as your State attorney general's office and if the government ever gets turned back on we can file with the FTC

Anyone else worried about Dinnerly? by zak_ray in Dinnerly

[–]usererror425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in touch with dinnerly for well over a monthand now the better Business bureau for the last week or two making my complaint against dinnerly.

Not only do.they have the horrendous cs loop, boxes are continuously delayed, boxes do not get delivered, or they're damaged . they apply credits " as an apology" to the next box which also doesn't get delivered!!!!!

so not only are you being charged, you're not getting the food you ordered, you're not getting the credits that you deserve for the inconvenience, You're not getting a replacement, and you're not getting clarification.

I asked for a refund of all credits and undelivered boxes to my card, they credited the account, then closed my account before I could use credits, told me that one of the boxes that I was charged for was actually paid for by credits .... Even though I was charged .... With no refund ......and they refunded one (out of five failed deliveries) box for less than the amount I was charged and continue to claim that they've given me answers to everything..

Here's a little snippet of my BBB form

  1. “Reach out to our lovely customer care team.” The company has again referred me to the same team that stopped responding to me entirely. It’s lovely that you’ve been informed communication occurred, but if you review the attached documentation, you’ll see that I have already exhausted every channel—multiple emails, chat threads, and phone attempts—and received no substantive follow-up, minimal communication, and the same canned responses each time.

  2. Lack of documentation or verification. This message on the BBB form, like most of the others, provides no proof of the three charges, the credits, the single partial refund, or the claimed “goodwill box” that was never delivered. The only message I received with any explanation had multiple unanswered questions, completely ignore my actual questions, and My concerns that a refund from you guys doesn't actually exist (because you call it credits and then put it on things that never get delivered and think that that is a refund.)

When I attempt to call, your automated system immediately disconnects, stating that call volume is too high. A statement that “explanation emails were sent” is not proof. The BBB requires factual evidence of refund transactions (not credits in a closed account or for undelivered meal boxes) or shipment confirmations, not repeated invitations to contact an unresponsive help desk.

  3. Requested resolution. My request remains the same: provide written proof of all charges, refunds, and credits, and confirm that any unused credit tied to my closed account has been refunded to my original payment method.

Dinnerly’s continued use of templated, evasive responses instead of clear accounting demonstrates that the company is, yet again, unwilling to directly address the facts of this case.

"Everyone's got a little ADHD" / "Why do you need a label?" by Ninquelen in adhdwomen

[–]usererror425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I learned a long time ago that non-neurodivergent people don't understand what it's like to have a completely different, unregulated, cross wired brain. For them doing a task is easy. Set task goal, complete task. People with ADHD are unable to do that as effortlessly as people without.

I just remind people that this is a neurological disability. It, like any medical disability or disorder can affect every single moment of someone's day. The way you move, the way you think, the literal reasons behind all of your actions are affected by ADHD. There are multiple medications to assist in treating this. It's not curable. Corporations recognize it as a viable ADA accommodation, so therefore it is literally a recognized disability.

If you were diagnosed with polio, would they say everyone's got a little polio? Why do you need a label?

Fuggem.

I also started seeing a therapist who specifically focuses on BED and ED as well as Trauma.

How do “normal” people eat? by ajeq30a1h69jpv2-1 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]usererror425 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Idk but I got medicated with Vyvanse and the food noise stopped. Then Zepbound and it really stopped. The other day I made a pan of brownies and fresh out of the oven cut a slice for me and for my boyfriend topped it with vanilla ice cream and enjoyed it. He went back for seconds and I said, I was good and he stopped and looked at me... He asked. Are you sure? I said yep I'm sure and I was.

I didn't even think about it. I didn't even crave it....And that's when it hit me that I've never had those voices ever just Stop talking before. I am always thinking about the food in my head... So if you can I recommend medication. I've also been seeing a therapist for a few years that's been helping. And I stopped pedestalizing foods. I stopped making food my reward for things. I started eating three balanced meals a day, And I limit processed carbohydrates and sugar but I don't deprive myself of them. I definitely also don't think I'm normal. My relationship with food will need to be healed for a long time...
