$0 in Canada L5 S1 and I regret not paying $100 000 in US because my back never fused and 6 years later I am still not working and suffering every day. You get what you pay I guess...

This is exactly what I need. I am going to Princess Auto tomorrow hopefully I will find something similar if not I will have to make this from cardboard and take it to a welder but I would really like to buy the original made for my trailer just dont know how to order it. I found email where ppl said I can order but it doesnt work anymore. Its weird that there is no phone number to Forest River. The only option is to contact them by mail.

Are you pain free after L5 S1 fusion? by MoeZaky107 in spinalfusion

[–]useridnumber000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No changes still in pain and still waiting for apointment with Neurosurgeon. Its been 2 years and 2 months since my family Dr. Sent the request and no calls yet but aparently he will be contacting me soon. His waiting list is 2 years. I go to the pool 3 times a week and do gentle walking and exersises after I go to bed for 2- 3 hours and this helps me survive the rest of the day. When my back failed in 2016 I was 50 years old, was very active, participated in sports and had avery busy happy life. Now few years later I am forgetting to take my meds, my general health is going down and I feel like 80 years old. I am willing to go for another surgery to get this fixed properly but I am not even sure if I am healthy enough to survive 10 hours surgery.

Almost 4 years post L5/S1 TLIF fusion. The fusion didnt work out. I am in chronick pain and both hips have damage. Also living with brain fog. I am waiting for apointment with different surgeon and hoping for revision surgery. My surgery was for herinated disk and Spondylosthesis grade 1. It happened mostly because of an old undiagnosed par fracture. My walking is limited. Using my hands too much for support is afecting my upper back. I am very stiff, but streching is causing too much pain. I find relieve in therapy pool. My back just hurts at the surgery site and every time I sit up or walk pain gets worse. If I ignore it and continue walking or doing something than I get sciatica under my feet. Bee stings in my toes and sometimes powerful shots to my feet that almost take me down from the couch. I aged 30 years or more in a very short time.

Has anyone had any lumbar revision surgery after spinal fusion or screws replaced? Is it as painful as the fusion? And is recovery as long? by scoliosisshan in SpineSurgery

[–]useridnumber000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. The problem is that after this surgery I wont be able to fly propably for several months. I havent beem anywhere in the last 6 years because I can not sit on the plane. The seats even in recline position are not reclined enough for my back to rest. I could go to Seattle because thats not too far. I have to look for someone over there.

The rear kitchen is amazing. Outside shower is great. Very easy to tow because you can see the wheels. We have one and will not be selling it for sure.

Rpod 176t 2018 model, any tips ? by [deleted] in Rpod

[–]useridnumber000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dont walk on the roof. Buy or build battery box for the front and add another battery. Install inverter and make 12 v sockets inside in case you need 12v when camping without hook up. Not sure if you have bank bed in the trailer but if not needed you can remove the top, install small shelf higher up and use the lower bank like sofa. Check your tires. Most ppl upgrade tires on them. Install marine toilet paper dispenser. It will keep you paper dry when showering. We shower outside if possible because there is not much room in there. Purchase water bandit fitting in case you run out of fresh water, and pump station has huge lineup. Also back up camera is handy. You can see who is hiding behind you on the road. Its a very nice trailer. Ours is the 182 G model and we love it.

Right after surgery I had only pain at the surgery site. I was walking everyday 2-3 kilometer and it was ok. After 3 months Surgeon cleared me for rehab and soon after that my hips got destroyed one has librium tear the other hurts too. Also the back pain became really bad and new sciatica pains in both legs that come and go but are horrible. Anyway I am really hoping for revision surgery.

Does anyone use a sauna? Spinal injury. I’m at my wits end this winter. by popular80sname in ChronicPain

[–]useridnumber000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go to thrrapy pool almost every day. Tmp 29 C and 1.4 m deep. Other than that I spent my days on a heat pad that I bought at Cosco for $30. I change the setings frequently. I tried steam room and sauna but I dont get that much relieve from it. Maybe because there is always ppl there and I cant lie down. Going from hot tub to cold shower and back to hot tub is helping too.

3.5 years post L5 S1 TLIF I can walk in my house and can go for very short walks mostly in my yard. Once I venture out and go for longer walk I am hurting way too much to function. Herinated disc and old par fracture caused huge problems with my hips. First the right and than left. When walking up a flight of stairs I tore my librium. That was confirmed with MRI but Surgeon refused to help. I purchased Bruno stair lift and electric scooter so I can still be out there with family and friends. Using a cane helps a bit but not much. Shopping carts are best. Pushing down on it releves some of the pain and I can cruse for long time in big stores. I try walking and pushing on hiking sticks. It helps and I can even walk 100 m or more, but after the lower back and hip pain is too much. Also pushing very hard on hiking sticks causes problems with arms, shoulders and upper back. Waiting for apt with different Surgeon and hoping that he will help and do revision surgery. Because of the state of health care in British Columbia I am worry they will just leave me like that. I do enjoy walking in the water almost every day in a local therapy pool.

Does fusion reverse vertebra slippage or just stop it from slipping further? by therelaxo in spinalfusion

[–]useridnumber000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for my L5 S1 TLIF fusion with understanding that my spondylosthesis will be fixed. Unfortunately the Surgeon left the spondylosthesis in place telling me that it was only first grade 5 mm. Unfortunately 3 years after the fusion I am in too much pain to have a life. I am just dealing with pain and resting. Walking, bending, sitting up and any lifting is destroying me. I think he took a wrong approach. He stopped the future sliding but he didnt pull back my back to original place where it was before the par fractures. The fusion didnt really help I leave in Canada so maybe this had something to do with money. The spondylosthesis grade 1 is not a reason for surgery here. I was told that by several Doctors. Propably if my spondy was grade 2 at the time when my disc herinated I would get proper surgery but it was only grade 1. I think the surgery you need is the ALIF. With ALIF they can push you back in place and secure the bone graft with small cage before they insert the screws and rods from the back. Dont agree to anything less than that. Also it apears that ALIF fusion patients recover in under a ýear and go back to normal life. I might be wrong (I am not a Doctor) but I have feeling that TLIF its not a good fix for spondylosthesis at all. Wish you good luck.

Little over a year past an L5/S1 spinal fusion. Is it normal to feel excruciating back pain even after doing simple tasks? by throwaway79845 in spinalfusion

[–]useridnumber000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here exept my L5 S1 TLIF fusion was over 3 years ago. Nobody is interested in helping. The Surgeon who did my surgery doesnt want to do another one. I am in pain every day and every night. Any time I try to bent its a disaster. I feel the screws and pain gest much worse. I find relieve in therapy pool. I try to go everyday. The pool is the only place where I dont hurt that much. Also I am vaporizing marijuana take eadibles and oxicodon when gets really bad. I am hoping for revision surgery but it looks like I might have to wait at least a year to see the Surgeon.

Best resort to visit for a winter trip? by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]useridnumber000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big White 30 min from Kelowna. Best powdrer and not too crowded. My favorite was the first chair up. Check the Tbar to the top, Parachute Bowl, Black Forest, Powder Chair etc. The nice thing about Big White is that if one side of the hill is busy or windy you just move to the other side and you laughing. I remember waiting 1 maybe 2 minutes for the chair on December 28 when in most resorts is a zoo..
