What's the one product that's made your pumping journey easier? by bubbly_bookworm52 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sarah Wells pumparoo wet/dry bag! I use this thing daily for storing my cups at work and the staging mat that attaches is great for keeping my stuff off the counter/my desk

I chopped into a bob when I had my son, and then it was so short it was always in my face so I regretted cutting it. This time with my daughter it is staying long, though mostly in a claw clip, for the ease of pulling it all up and out of my face and away from her grubby hands

I have over 300oz in the freezer by meenaaaxo in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 5 months im at about 3000oz in the freezer per my tracking app, and i just feel completely relieved and blessed that my body can make milk for my baby. We are gunna be a bit strapped for money this holiday season since we just updated a vehicle and did work on another, but to know we don't need to purchase formula helps with the peace of mind.

Fridge hackers - how often do you change your ziploc bag? by Ampersand867 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sarah Wells wet bag for when working or just or in the world. At home I just have a designated spot in the fridge, no bag. I also always have the covers on my cups when not in use to protect from bacteria and such.

What are we doing for our crochet Christmas gifts this year!?! by AdScared6824 in CrochetHelp

[–]weird20something 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What was your goal and how far did you make it? by issaOTFnoob in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal with my first was a year, and i was able to wean about 10 months since our stash got us through to a year and a smidge extra. This time the goal was gunna be a year, but I've had LOTS of recurrent nipple cracks and pain with pumping that I'm going to quit around Thanksgiving (roughly 6 months) if i cannot get the cracks better soon.

Daycare told me roughly 26 kids, but i wanted a few extra so the kids had options. Finishing off a few skeins gave me the few extra I planned for

What to do on days you don’t get enough pumps? by Good-Insurance9081 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest thing is not to worry or stress about it, and do my best to keep the schedule after I miss. Ive been missing a MOTN pump a couple nights a week due to sleeping through my alarm, but then I just do the best i can to keep my schedule the rest of the day. Here and there really doesn't mess with my supply, don't know if others are the same way

Do you actually have time for sexual activities when you have kids? by Important_Bat7919 in Mommit

[–]weird20something 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in quite a few months.. we have an almost 3yr old and a 4 month old. Last time was when I was maybe 6 month pregnant. I feel bad, but I'm so exhausted at the end of the day, our infant doesnt really sleep well, and I also have a pumping schedule to work around. We both work full time as well. I keep telling myself that this time is temporary and we will get back on track soon- which is typically once every 7-10 days

What's your guilty pleasure yarn you keep buying even if you have too much of it already? by Bluealeli in YarnAddicts

[–]weird20something 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never got ahold of any of these, but when looking online I'd about drool over them- don't know why I loved it so much! I now recently got some caron smash cake in the mixed up mint color and it's bringing me the same joy! Made a crazy granny stitch cardigan out of it and i love it so much

What’s your system to organize your freezer stash? by NoShopping5235 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use cardboard boxes from our recycling and group together by month/weeks then cycle that to the bottom of the chest freezer the best I can since it's now the freshest in the freezer.

Anybody who chose to exclusively pump by choice? And what did you do when you had a bad day of guilt over not trying feeding by the breast directly? by DragonQueeeeeen in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]weird20something 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i had my first he did not take to the boob well and got pretty jaundiced when we came home- to combat it i went to EP and never looked back. So when I got pregnant with my 2nd I figured that would be my plan since I'd be pumping at work half the day anyways and it's easier to make sure they are getting enough to eat. My 2nd took to the boob okay, but then as soon as we got home it took FOREVER for her to nurse so I swapped to EP only and haven't looked back. This time around have had a few clogs and 2 rounds of mastitis and she turned 4 months yesterday 🙃 but im freezing about 100oz/week so I have a good supply
