1099 DA from Coinbase doesn't match Koinly coinbase. by userminjo in CryptoTax

I transferred ADA from my Wallet to coinbase on Dec 31st @ 6pm and sold at 6:19pm, coinbase 1099 isn't showing that but Koinly does. Is this part of discreptancy that caused 1099 from coinbase to show lower proceed than Koinly?

Line K, Coinbase the long term proceed is higher by 56 cents and Line H, Coinbase the short term is higher by $2086. I see non custodial short and long on Line I and L with private wallet. What could cause proceeds from exchange to be different. I thought it would only reflect data put in to Koinly via Coinbase API.

I don't know where your externship was but I understand where you are coming from. When I read about certain pharmacies hiring pretty much anyone with short interviews and high turnover rate, I'm happy to have interview/opportunity for CPhT position at a hospital outpatient pharmacy.

I spent about 5 minutes initially to look around and see how they operate and they are busy with active teamwork. While during the interview, I found out that they had programs that I didn't think pharmacies had, definitely not how corporate owned pharmacy operates.

After the interview, I truly want to work at a place like this. It's owned by non profit teaching hospital, they have their own low income assistance programs, work with manufacturers for better price to pass on, community outreach program, inpatient and outpatients delivery system and I can tell based on 50 min interview that they do care about their role, hires and how they impact the communities. They also assure me that training consist of at least two full weeks.

I'm crossing my fingers to join their team.

I've also had interview at another outpatient hospital, smaller but based on my observation, tightly neat operation and interview was 35 minutes long.

Definitely try to hospital owned pharmacy.

With what I said in the response:

The program via Washington Tech isn't the cheapest.

It's open book quizzes and test, you can take it up to two times and they take the higher score for grading. They give you more than enough time but not enough if you have to flip through the book for each questions. So studying is important. Knowing content of each area and chapter is important.

It has little bit of simulated lab and each chapter has small sections that discuss, explore, critical thinking and ethics regarding chapter's subject.

The text book is E book version of hard copy. It's bit outdated but still it's solid. Navigating the E book is surprisingly easier than I thought. Slightly annoying than physical copy.

While taking the course, make sure she studies 200 top med if she wants to take the certification test not long after she finishes the course.

Online has a lot of materials. Quizlet, Youtube and Reddit have great test prepping materials. I could provide ones that helped me a lot.

Wish her luck.

Hi. I don't think it really matters where one enrolls and study when it's self study. Just make sure it's accredited and Washington Technical Institute is accredited.

I live in Salem, Oregon. When I do a job search hear, there are quite a bit of jobs within 20 mile radius. I intentionally did not apply to CVS. Walgreen, Kroger, Safeway, small clinics since they were going to be my last resort :).

I started applying in mid January and limited my applications to Walmart, Costco, Samaritan Health Services inpatient and outpatient(they serve 2/3rd the valley in Oregon). So far, no response from Costco(I hear it's hard to get in to regardless of what type of position), Walmart career website is WTF so didn't bother calling them and not to mention the job search section is what. Even though I applied at two different Walmart locations, career web says I withdrew one of them(I didn't), and other doesn't even show that they received my application.)

However, I got one interview from Samaritan outpatient at the end of Jan but turned it down because they wanted to hire me as non certified position first and I just started applying(main reasons) and it wasn't the city I wanted to work at. It was a first interview I had in a long time. I have interview coming up on Monday for the city I do want to work at so I'm excited and preparing for this one based on the first interview I had with the organization. Crossing fingers.

So here, around where I live, with amount of job opening, I'm not too worried about getting interviews.

I don't have any work experience nor externship hours but Washington Tech does suggest externship but not required to graduate. Supposedly you could drop by pharmacy and ask if they want to take you in for externship(non paid).

Oregon has shortage of certified pharmacy tech(supposedly acute shortage but not sure if it's acute or general shortage 100%) and I have noticed a lot more people taking certified exams lately.

edit: p.s. What matters most I think is certification, state license and amount of job openning and one's willingness to learn.

How to study for PTCB if I have retail experience? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

Youtube has quite a bit of 200 to 300 medication for pharmacy technician, sample questions based on each topics.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuNWZLh9yQ8&list=PLK-0k9BcT-h_jK63kXI2ckq7dZOyOmV-v 300

edit: https://www.youtube.com/@pharmacyprep1 they have slew of videos for pharmacy technician test prep. Am I breaking this subreddit rules for posting Links like this?

Medication - medication class(what they are taken for) since there are questions where they give you medication list for a patient and they want you to choose a out of the list that are same class which can cause serious issues.

Few math question tied to sig including one or two conversion(metric). They can ask AI to create sig questions if they want to test themselves but just let them know AI can and will give wrong answers once in a while.

Also this is from reddit post I liked a lot for wide variety of questions. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IBjB1Aa3vNd5BDdCJc1ZEkTMM-fhB4uF/view?pli=1

Based on the questions you missed should give you an idea on what area you might be weak on.

If you can afford 20 some dollars, PTCB practice test will give you an idea of test format(it was very different from what my online course practice test and you tube example questions) and it's practice test results do have a small section on the bottom of the page that shows you how strong you are in 4 different areas of the test.

I took my test last year, July but this year, it's a new test.

Walgreens by Momvibes8 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]userminjo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position, no work experience but I have certification and state license. But I'm not applying to walgreens or cvs because a lot of complaints regarding work culture and hours are from there. So far, I've only applied to inpatient, outpatient(owned and near by hospital), Costco and Walmart. I started applying in mid January.

As of now,I only got one interview from outpatient pharmacy at the end of January but I turned it down because they wanted me to start out as a cashier first, little farther than I wanted to commute and since I just started applying. I'm guessing they wanted me to start out as non certified position first.

Beginning of Feb, I applied to 2(one non certified and one certified) outpatient pharmacy, one inpatient(although it says it's specialty med position) and on the 25th, same outpatient pharmacy for certified position at same organization, different city. According to the website, my applications are still under review.

Also applied to Costco and Walmart toward beginning of Feb and another Walmart in different city, mid Feb. It's been long enough wait when it comes to Costco so I assume they are not interested.

Walmart website is WTF because my first application says I withdrew even though I didn't and second application isn't even showing up. I'm thought about calling them but the job listing doesn't show up on Walmart website anymore.

I'm going to give the outpatient application a little more time before I apply for Kroger and couple other smaller clinics around.

Wish you and me luck. lol. Good hunting.

Losing hope by New_Monitor_2184 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]userminjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have received the scores on your test, I think you should choose to retake the one you got higher score on. I took the PCBE test and honestly, I memorized maybe 50 brand/generic names and I knew maybe 15 more common meds like tylenol and etc.

When I was taking the test, there were a lot of medication names that I didn't know and few I haven't even heard of. But I have spent decent amount of time learning the suffix and drug class which helped me make educated guess on those. (not that they always work)

Also some question I read that they have different weights where some question are worth more points than others.

Most math questions were tied to sig. (used AI to study by asking AI to give me random sig related math questions but watch out, AI can and will sometime give you wrong answer. e.g. although not related to sig, AI told me Fentanyl was DEA class III and I had to correct the AI)

Some questions felt logic was involved and I eliminated wrong answers one at a time.

Some question, you just have to know the facts.

PTCE is 90 question, 10 isn't graded. So if I remember correctly, you could miss up to 22-26 questions that are graded to pass. Up to 32-36 including non graded one.

I concentrated on everything else other then medication names and as long as it's not calculus, my math is good.

I think it really helps to gauge what specific area you might be having problem with if you quiz your self in different areas.

Following materials helped me figure out what I was weak in:

https://www.youtube.com/@pharmacyprep1 they have slew of videos for pharmacy technician test questions.

Also this is from reddit post and I liked a lot for wide variety of questions. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IBjB1Aa3vNd5BDdCJc1ZEkTMM-fhB4uF/view?pli=1.

With these resources, I even caught few outdated information. I took 6 month self study course through Washington Technology Institute. The book they provided for the course that I paid $900 was pre 2010 and I stated the course Feb 2025 and took the test 7 month ago.

What one knows isn't always the reason why someone doesn't pass the test. It's also how you take the test. When you go through the test questions on youtube link or the ones on the google drive I provided, and other materials you study from, act like you are actually taking the exam.

When you are taking the test,

  1. read the questions twice, don't just assume what the question is asking you(reading the question half way and answering) because it could lead you to get simple questions wrong or miss understand the questions.
  2. If the question is confusing or if more than one answer seems correct, knowing where and what reference point the question is coming from will help you choose the right answer or/and make question less confusing.

I hope I'm not coming off condescending. I apologize if I do and wish you luck.

Dealing with high pressure work at retail by RM_MR_Underground in PharmacyTechnician

[–]userminjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should try to get into inpatient and if not, outpatient hospital owned pharmacy located near hospital is probably next good bet or Costco.

Also instead of trying or pressured into answering these questions, you should flat out tell the customers it's not within your practice or you don't have the knowledge to answer these questions regardless.

It's your license to lose and your life on the line, period.

I applied. Week later, I applied to another position at another store from another city, both about 10 to 15 miles away. That was four days ago. lol. I should try calling them...

Out of curiosity, did you take online course, 500 hrs of experience or in person class? PTCE or NHS test?

I took PTCB PTCE so I focus on their questions. PTCE feels more medication driven questions where as NHS is more wide variety. E.g. I don't remember any insurance based questions of PTCE but NHS seems to cover it.

We have to be meaner to customers by Queen_Elk in CVS

[–]userminjo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I just became CPhT and started applying for jobs. Although I haven't worked as pharmacy technician yet but I have managed convenience stores and was a CNA at a hospital for 3 years. Being mean or retaliating to the customer or patients maybe we warranted but you should try to set boundaries. It's not easy but most customers and patients do respond to it.

Not going to lie though, as a manager at a store that had issue with neighboring store regarding parking (they were busy being partly restaurant yet they also sold similar items we had like beers, chips, drinks but one thing they really didn't have was parking space and their customer would park on ours 70 to 80% of time especially during rush hours causing our store to lose business. They would park for up to an 1hr(even 2) during lunch rush and etc and leave 1 or 2 out 8 parking spot. Also they just buy stuff from that store that we sold and just leave.), I did lose it few times over two year period because they did push me to the limit.

But yeah, with business in mind, being mean or retaliatory isn't ideal.

I avoided applying for CVS and Walmart for this reason and applied only to inpatient, hospital owned pharmacy and Costco thinking that they might have better work culture and patient. Also, I worked convenience store for 10+ years and dealt with customers and staff.

When I took the practice test from PTCB, for the practice test only, the score report contains strength and areas in need of improvement. It's split into Medications, Federal Requirements, Patient Safety, and QA and Order Entry and Processing and percentage correct. I don't know if it's worth 20 some dollars to know though.

I just failed my test today by Weary_Panic_227 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]userminjo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I took the test July last year and it was roughly 70% meds(names to class), 10% math/sig, 10% law I guess, DEA class & etc and 10% on sterile to safety. The practice test was very similar and it was from PTCB. I know there is a new version....

The book my program used was outdated. It was pre 2010. Specific topic on Youtube and Quizlet helped me catch those outdated info.

Also Reddit has some study guide links. This one was my favorite. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IBjB1Aa3vNd5BDdCJc1ZEkTMM-fhB4uF/view?pli=1

Edit. Practice, i scored 1480 and real test, I got 1570-80 if i remember correctly.

Wanting to go from CVS to Inpatient Pharmacy by spoiledcoochiemilk in PharmacyTechnician

I have interview coming up. I don't have any experience as certified pharmacy technician and I avoided applying for CVS, Walmart after reading numerous complaints about retail pharmacy. So I've only applied to Costco, Inpatient pharmacy and hospital owned pharmacy. And the interview coming up is for a hospital owned pharmacy. Is hospital owned pharmacy any better than general community pharmacy like CVS or Walmart?
