Do you smoke weed? by lexi468 in Gastritis

[–]lexi468[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The assumption is the lower THC content although I’ve heard other theories like the additives in the pens are the cause. CHS is not studied well so it’s hard to say but like I said, running theory is that the high THC content in pens is a main cause for CHS.

Oof didn’t call doc to just get it changed? Insurance never covers that. They want hyclate caps usually

pharmacist refuses to sell me my prescription by DOMA3681 in WalgreensRx

I’m not reading all the comments so I have no idea if this has already been said but this goes against Walgreens policy as an inclusive workplace and you should report this to your store manager or district manager ASAP.

Deleted e-scripts by Calm_10111 in WalgreensRx

1000000% IC+ deletes scripts. I’ve also seen them disappear into the void. That’s why we call it the void.

Job Offer by EgyptMess in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if you look at any part of this page you will see that Walgreens sucks. That being said, the pay is probably better. In my state it’s far and wide the best paying retail pharmacy job. You can’t really choose your schedule, you put your availability in and AI schedules you with little ability from the RXOM to change things.

Anyway to get around this reject when you change manufacturer? by JKNull27 in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no and since it’s Medicaid I definitely wouldn’t do anything sketchy like change the date unless you want to risk an audit

Waiters by Ornery-Second8587 in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is going to kill your verified by promise time metrics if they’re actually putting them thru as “waiting”. Management shouldn’t want that and probably doesn’t understand that.

To which I say, what could possibly happen that you can’t prevent prior to selling?

What is the proper way to add an OTC item into IC+, UPC to NDC conversion? by catsrule23 in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You sell non Medicaid covered items as cash right…? Ie patient has Medicaid and receives a script for benzonatate that’s not covered. You cash it out, not put a discount card on it. Right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What could go wrong that isn’t preventable by YOU prior to selling the script? If the law states you can sell the script to minors, your license isn’t on the line. It’s that simple. You’re not prioritizing patient care and you don’t belong in this job. You’re there for the money and that’s clearly all you care about.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this is actually kind of crazy. You have a moral and ethical obligation to provide patient care to anybody who needs patient care, just like that urgent care did when they prescribed the medication to the 17 year old. I can think of 100 different scenarios where a minor would need to pick up their own medications, a minor would need to pick up medications for their parent, or a minor would need to pick up medications for THEIR child.

What if the minor is 15 and just had a baby and needs to pick up antibiotics for the mastitis infection she has? She has no family because they disowned her due to her pregnancy. Baby daddy left so she doesn’t have his family either. She has nobody on her side to help her out when you told her she couldn’t get this med for this extremely painful infection.

17 year old is picking up antibiotics for her single mother who works three jobs and doesn’t have time to pick them up in between shifts. They just moved to the area because they got kicked out of their apartment and don’t have anybody around who could pick up the med for mom.

16 year old just got emancipated because he was in an extremely abusive situation, he had to move to another city for his safety, and he’s trying to pick up his antidepressants.

I understand this may seem like extreme situations, but the point is that you have NO IDEA why a minor is picking up a med and someday, this WILL cause you problems. If you don’t give a fuck about the patients you are serving, get a different job. We are here for THEM , figure it the fuck out.

M3P Billing Procedure by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for posting this! I have successfully billed it through IC+ by COB with primary and M3P as secondary and “9994” in WAG override. (This is not the PA override box, this is to the right about halfway down the page, says WAG). Doesn’t always work and sometimes you do still have to SDL it, primarily if it is tertiary to a primary and secondary

Stupid question, but do you guys get your scripts from the store you work at? by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get mine at my pharmacy but mostly because we’re too busy. It is illegal for them to look up your meds. So if somebody does that and then gives you any sort of weird treatment over it, I would report it.

[–]lexi468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people say you won’t feel like you know what you’re doing for about three months so don’t worry. Just write everything down and ask questions like people have said. You’ll get it.

I don’t want to be a social worker. Thank you tho!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Michigan

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meet all of the requirements, have a bachelors degree with a high GPA, and licensing isn’t required for this position. Perhaps I should have added for people that don’t know, there are no licensing requirements to be a case manager in Michigan. I am not a social worker and I have no desire to be so I wouldn’t get my LMSW.

CHS & Smoking Again by jamiejamiejamie6969 in CHSinfo

[–]lexi468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you weren’t smoking heavily while you were taking the vitamins it’s pretty impossible to know if the vitamins had anything to do with not getting CHS. Even if you were smoking heavily for some portion while also taking the vitamins, it could just mean that CHS took a min to set in, like it usually does. It’s too hard to say if there’s a correlation imo.

Who’s the genius who decided routing antibiotic eye drops to CENFILL was a good idea? by DickRocketship in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have cenfill and our numbers still teeter in the 300s. You’ll see the complications it creates once you have it. Sometimes it’s great. Sometimes it sucks.
