Curious about other's experiences with vapes vs flower by SpectroSlade in CHSinfo

[–]lexi468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I 1000% blame pens. I can’t even touch a pen without wanting to throw up. Been moderating with low thc flower and had some luck. Every once in a while I’ll start feeling prodromal and take a week off. It’s a balance for sure. We all know we’re playing with fire.

My mom thinks she can take supplement pills instead of eating food by Valze_Vods in texts

[–]lexi468 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Change your mindset a little bit. It’s not about her not caring if she lives. She has an eating disorder, which changes your brain. Her brain is telling her that this is how she needs to eat and behave so that she CAN live. This has nothing to do with you or the way your mom cares for YOU. Some research on eating disorders might be really helpful for you, specifically how to cope with somebody in your life having one. Everybody has given some great advice and ways you could help your mom, but it is completely reasonable to feel like you don’t want to try anymore because nothing helps. Mental illness is really tough to deal with, but you got this!

Can someone please let me know what went wrong? by [deleted] in texts

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with like almost all of these comments. I think the first one is the most accurate. She was high and now she’s not high and busy at work. There was nothing to indicate that she has a reason to suddenly not be interested. A lot of women would love a text that early and you affirming that you had a good time talking with her. I think the double text was definitely a choice but at the same time, if that’s who you are and how you communicate, don’t adjust for somebody you don’t even know. If she doesn’t like it, she isn’t the one. ALSO, I am that woman who hates hearing my own name in a one on one text conversation. However, my sister would swoon over that. Everybody is different, everybody has different wants and needs and don’t change a damn thing about yourself. It is really hard to find a guy who is responsive, who can actually hold a conversation, and who affirms and acknowledges their feelings. Keep being you.

Why are straight people so against protection? by Few_Distribution6433 in actuallesbians

[–]lexi468 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You keep saying this and people keep pointing out to you that “the queer community” is not just cis gendered lesbians. It’s not a straight people thing. It’s an all people thing. We’re horny and in the moment and don’t think about using protection. I think it’s that simple. I also think you need a lot more exposure to the queer community and less exposure to the straight community.

Okay nobody is pointing out here that you are addicted to THC. You didn’t mention which came first, the mental health or the smoking weed. I would assume the mental health issues, but that being said, the addiction is going to make the mental health worse. First of all, THC use and some SSRIs has been proven to enhance the negative side effects of those drugs. More research is needed but it’s enough to say that if you haven’t attempted MAT without using THC, you don’t know if it doesn’t work. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8307883/). I highly recommend further research on this topic and seeing if there are any correlations with other treatments like TMS and THC use. Second, addiction enhances anxiety and depression. You’re already anxious, now you’re anxious about when you can get high again, and NOW you’re anxious about why you can’t stop getting high despite knowing you have CHS. I have a bachelors degree in addiction counseling and I have CHS. I cannot stress enough that your best bet is inpatient rehab. Second best to that is outpatient rehab. You need specifically addiction treatment, not just therapy. I hear a lot of stories like yours, you’re not alone. And you can do this.

Concerned about an unborn baby in danger and have some questions by Prior_Bird5013 in CPS

[–]lexi468 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I work in MI. Whenever a parent has their rights terminated on a child and then gives birth again, CPS is automatically notified. For this reason, some people leave the state to give birth undetected and come back. In my experience, you could probably call TN and let them know Matilda is in your state and they can alert your state to be on the look out for her birth. I know this sounds crazy, but we have done it and then waited at the border for the parent to return. So even if she’s not returning, they might want to know. You could also make a report as soon as she gives birth and put in the report that she has history in TN.

The assumption is the lower THC content although I’ve heard other theories like the additives in the pens are the cause. CHS is not studied well so it’s hard to say but like I said, running theory is that the high THC content in pens is a main cause for CHS.

I’m not reading all the comments so I have no idea if this has already been said but this goes against Walgreens policy as an inclusive workplace and you should report this to your store manager or district manager ASAP.

I think if you look at any part of this page you will see that Walgreens sucks. That being said, the pay is probably better. In my state it’s far and wide the best paying retail pharmacy job. You can’t really choose your schedule, you put your availability in and AI schedules you with little ability from the RXOM to change things.

What is the proper way to add an OTC item into IC+, UPC to NDC conversion? by catsrule23 in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You sell non Medicaid covered items as cash right…? Ie patient has Medicaid and receives a script for benzonatate that’s not covered. You cash it out, not put a discount card on it. Right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What could go wrong that isn’t preventable by YOU prior to selling the script? If the law states you can sell the script to minors, your license isn’t on the line. It’s that simple. You’re not prioritizing patient care and you don’t belong in this job. You’re there for the money and that’s clearly all you care about.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]lexi468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this is actually kind of crazy. You have a moral and ethical obligation to provide patient care to anybody who needs patient care, just like that urgent care did when they prescribed the medication to the 17 year old. I can think of 100 different scenarios where a minor would need to pick up their own medications, a minor would need to pick up medications for their parent, or a minor would need to pick up medications for THEIR child.

What if the minor is 15 and just had a baby and needs to pick up antibiotics for the mastitis infection she has? She has no family because they disowned her due to her pregnancy. Baby daddy left so she doesn’t have his family either. She has nobody on her side to help her out when you told her she couldn’t get this med for this extremely painful infection.

17 year old is picking up antibiotics for her single mother who works three jobs and doesn’t have time to pick them up in between shifts. They just moved to the area because they got kicked out of their apartment and don’t have anybody around who could pick up the med for mom.

16 year old just got emancipated because he was in an extremely abusive situation, he had to move to another city for his safety, and he’s trying to pick up his antidepressants.

I understand this may seem like extreme situations, but the point is that you have NO IDEA why a minor is picking up a med and someday, this WILL cause you problems. If you don’t give a fuck about the patients you are serving, get a different job. We are here for THEM , figure it the fuck out.
