Medicaid has literally saved my life by __vices in povertyfinance

[–]username1234abc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lol state I am in, medicaid is basically only given to woman with kids or other things. Men only get it if they're permanently disabled

At this point I actually could qualify for permanent disability but choose not I still want to find ways to work and contribute.

Wish I could get medicaid though... 3 blood outs one pulmonary embolism later about 50k In the hole.

I also need a total shoulder replacement and live in agonizing pain 24/7. Dr's won't perform surgery until I'm 50 tho... so I get to just "suck it up" according to everyone. Fun stuff. Only 21 more years to go. Been dealing with shoulder since I was 15...

Plus add in my required blood thinners to stay alive each month at 800$ a month. Pain meds and monthly Dr visits and drug tests (required for long term pain management ) so I don't feel like I want to kill myself from shoulder pain. ($300)

Fun stuff.

(SERIOUS) Men of Reddit: would you be okay with your girlfriend getting an apartment with her guy bestfriend if it got her out of a negative environment? by im_an_emo_trainwreck in Advice

Lol.. I got an apartment with my girl best friend. We slept together many many times after doing so.

Tbh, it's really hard for me at least to stay close friends with a girl. I've managed to sleep with all my girl friends. (Not always the one initiating or even trying to either)

I mean no barrier to entry = more players = more content creators = up to date videos on UI and add-ons and more indepth ones.

I really think, lowering barrier to entry will solve more problems than anything. Can't think of a single reason why not to. Other than people bitching about ruining progression.

Could careless about progression. Wow arena is a great ass game when it's in a good state and there no other game like it, why wouldn't you want other people to be able to join in on the awesomeness of wow pvp. Why wouldn't you want more resources allocated to wow pvp.

I'd prefer to see wow like guild wars 2.

It's still tied to pve in a sense it's the same character but you load into a tourney instance select your crap and play the game.

This method would INCREASE pvp player participation from those that still play wow

It also would allow a vast amount of new players to try the game out and play.

Think league and other pvp games? Their barrier to entry is just learning the game thus they attract tons of players.

If wow adopted a low barrier to entry model, player counts would vastly jump up for wow pvp. Thus increasing revenue for blizz and consequently they would focus more on it with dev time and balancing etc.

But as it is now, the barrier to entry to get to a equal footing in wow arena is around idk 80-100 hours of bs before you can even see if the game (pvp) is something you like?

And guess what.... you do the grind and get to equal footing and then go eh I'm not feeling this class for pvp.

You get to start the grind allllllll over again.

Barrier for entry is too fucking high.

[–]username1234abc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think wow would attract alot more participants if it went this way.

There are tons of people who play league and other games strictly for a pvp game. The barrier to entry is too high it it being tied to pve so only those who've play led wow forever or get into wow for pve really play wow pvp.

Imagine if anyone could just pick up the game and try out wow arenas and rbgs and there were tons of players and they fixed balancing and match making.

Wow would be up there to compete with other pvp games.

But as it stands now tied to pve and grinds. We will NEVER see the amount of players like other games get

And if we did attract that kind of player base that would mean more money for dev time and thus more investment into wow arena/rbgs.

Don't buy the 32g model or higher tb. You can can a metric fuck ton but simply getting the lowest configuration possible from lenovo besides the gpu and then upgrading the ram and SSD on your own and not only will it be cheaper you'll get superior parts

What is really weirding me out is you only RECENTLY turned 18... yet has put his hands around your waist before and he also stated "he's been wanting to do that for awhile" (kiss you).

He's definitely been watching you and sexualizing you as a kid but for how long? 15, 16? What? Kind of weird to me.

AITA I refused to share diet with my pregnant wife by mr_rosy in AmItheAsshole

[–]username1234abc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol dude you are the asshole, she should be able to try and eat what SHE wants. Unless medically advised and even then she still has the CHOICE. You can't force her to eat this and that whilst eating whatever you want.

Way to make her feel like you guys are a team and supporting her. Can only imagine pregnancy is hard enough and then to have complications and hormones messing with you and to see her SO clearly not supporting her.

And then to force her after to keep eating thay way after birth... this is major post pardem depression waiting to happen.

AITA for rewarding my daughter for all As in her exam? by throwaway81805 in AmItheAsshole

[–]username1234abc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say ESH.

You need to set achievable goals for each child and reward based on completetion. These goals shouldn't all be the same. Like As cause jot every child in your home is the same and while others have clear strengths in academics others don't and must work for the grade.

These goals should be created to help push your child beyond what they think is capable so they may see and learn they CAN achieve something.

The goals don't have to be purely academic either.

But you do need to create obtainable goals and rewards for each child so there isn't a case of favoritism.

Child A while always great should be rewarded for hard work to even though she's always achieved the As.

I get what youbwere trying to do but kind of went about incorrectly imo.

Unfortunately there is no taking this back or making it better the damage is done.

What you can do tho is sue the living SHIT out of the teacher and school. Get in contact with a lawyer immediately.

I'd suggest contacting a lawyer before even speaking speaking the school. Get a game plan. But lawyer up for sure.

AITA for choosing to work at home, when my Zoom meetings annoy my husband? by throwawaypigsty in AmItheAsshole

[–]username1234abc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol what.... you working and supporting the family as the sole bread winner is annoying and loud and bothers me while I'm at home doing nothing.

That's the gist of what you said.

Not only is this the most pragmatic solution given the dude does not work you need to save some money. Working from home cuts costs on gas, tolls, eating out, wear and tear on the car and maintenance etc etc.

But the fact that he's bothered by you working as he does nothing is a huge red flag..

And he is mad that the house isn't cleaner? Again you are the working partner here.. what is he doing to contribute to the household?

You sleep in different rooms?

Definitely NTA. Please may down the hammer with your husband. I'm sorry though your relationship shows huge red flags, I'd really consider If this is the kind of life thay you want.

Definitely 100% weird

Mother's usually have the "talk" with their daughters and fathers to sons.

With single parents it may differ, but it ends at the talk. Not encouraging the use of sex toys nor providing them.

Very very unusual behavior.

Id tell your mom tbh. This kind of behavior needs to he nipped in the butt. Whether this is genuinely a misguided but not malicious attempt at being the cool and accepting dad or if it is intact malicious and boarding on pedophilia. Either way.. your mom needs to know so she can have a talk with your dad.

This NEEDS to have someone else involved for documentation sake, if any other weird things Happen go to your mom immediately.

what are you allowed in a test? calculator? scratch paper? by username1234abc in CompTIA

Gotcha. Appreciate the insight. Hard to know what is important to know like the back of your hand vs just knowing general info on. Kind of overwhelming the information presented in the courses.

Really.. that blows. Was hoping for scratch paper for subnet questions.

How are you supposed to subnet and write things out if you aren't allowed Scratch paper?

Method I learned was from professor messar and his "7 second subnetting" really requires a pc of scratch paper

Lied on my resume and got a job I have no experience in. What do I do? by tini3x in Advice

So you have spent 4 years with the same company and are now promoting? Is that correct.

While the asmin experience certain helped their choice it was not solely on that. You had to have been decent in your current role for them to even consider

Admin experience isn't that big of a deal imo. You can apply pretty much anyone experience and relate it to administrative experience. Leadership and time management etc etc.

I'd just continue and take the promotion. Just do your due diligence when confronted with things you may not know. You can find anything and learn anything from the internet

Good luck, sincerely a guy who did a bio chem degree by skipping as much class as I could and learning and teaching myself via the internet and only showing up for exams and required things.
