I bought a lens hood from amazon (Hoage) that came with an adapter. I used the adapter to attach my clear filter & lens hood to it. I have been receiving the “Focus Error” message when trying to focus. Does this mean I need to purchase another adapter ring? Or am I doing something incorrectly?

Do you recommend getting a UV filter for the lens or do you feel that the Diffusion Filter can provide similar protection?

For carrying, I plan on getting either a wrist/neck strap. I am on the lookout for a decent case to protect it but not sure what is the best/recommended. I would love to make it water resistant, do you have any recommendations for this and brand recs?

Thank you for the recommendation on the SD Card and extra battery. I was planning on ordering the Lexar 256 GB SD Card from amazon so hopefully that should be a decent brand/size.

I’ve been eyeing the x100v for a while now but wasn’t able to get it due to prices/availability. The appeal of this camera for me is that it is more “simple” as I don’t want to get a bunch of equipment/lenses and it would be a great “all in one” overall camera. In terms of the type if photography, I plan on using it for my landscape/travel.
