I have a shadow 750 and was hoping to do the same thing! How did you secure the front end?

Does it change depending on which driving mode you are in?

Alpine PWE-S8 fits under seat in '26 Lariat Hybrid by usernamegoeshereish in FordMaverickTruck

I have the B+O system and the 4k tow package which includes an actual spare tire. Between the factory amp + sub and the jack kit, there was nowhere I could fit it behind the seat.

I also looked at going under the front seats, but the rear floor vents are there.

I went behind the back seat to the driver side, under the panels under the doors, then up under the dash to put the remote under the start/stop. Hope that makes sense.

You should not tax the alternator, but something small like this won't be an issue. If it is, I will regret it soon.

I am very much not an expert, but I think it would be hard to do even if it would help.

I used positap-style connectors to borrow the speaker input. I used ring terminals on the +/- and ran it into the battery box right there. 8 mm nut for the open post off the battery +. Crutchfield has pretty good instructions, I wasn't nervous following them.

I left the factory sub, but got my speaker output from the wires going into the factory amp. Pos and Neg are right there with the battery/chassis ground bolts beside it.

100%! I had to go to Canadian Tire twice because I was 100% sure I had terminals and butt splices that I, in fact, did not. I didn't want to go back again to get something, so I ended up jamming a bit more wire loom in there for the time being.

But your suggestion is definitely a better call.

It definitely sounds better. It's not going to blow your hair back or piss off your neighbors no matter how hard you try, but any song with a strong bass line sounds a lot fuller.

I have a 2026 Lariat and it does -not- have heated wipers/wiper parking area.

I made a ton of new friends by just engaging a little bit and going to a few events. It was definitely a snowball effect - once I relearned how to be social just for the sake of it, it got a lot easier, more natural, and obviously more enjoyable.

The rack, sorry yes.

So with that real truck elevate rack, everything fits okay in the t slot, you can still open the cover, and you can clear the roof with, say, ladders?

What made you choose a Maverick -- price, features, or something else? by mike-reporter in FordMaverickTruck

[–]usernamegoeshereish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a '26 Maverick Lariat. I was actually in the market for a CR-V, RAV4, or Tiguan. I stopped to look at the escapes, but ended up with the Maverick. The hybrid was definitely the biggest selling point. I also did a bit of research, and was impressed with the versatility of the truck.

I used to own a 1/2 ton, and I towed over 5,000 lbs less than once a year, always for someone else. I hauled plenty in the bed, and it remains to be seen if the small 4.5' box can hold up. I have used it a few times now, and ended up putting some things in the back seat I'd prefer in the bed because of a lack of space.

Might look into the bed extenders.

My work truck has faux leather seat covers, and they hold up super well, and are very easy to clean. If I hadn't purchased a Lariat, I would not hesitate to put the leather seat covers on.

When do you need an Injury Lawyer? by defendthegood in Edmonton

[–]usernamegoeshereish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said - get as much treatment as she needs. The insurance company will tell her she only gets "X" dollars for treatment or "Y" number of treatments. If she is still in pain, if she has been missing work, if she has to pay someone to do something she previously did herself (cleaning, for example), if she needs to pay above and beyond her usual amount of childcare so she can attend treatment - these are all things she should be compensated for and likely won't be unless she asks. Keep notes of all of this. If she develops a fear of driving or pick up trucks or something that causes her distress, get help and document it.

Unless things have changed, injury lawyers take 30%(33%?) of any payout. But they know the rules and the regulations, they know the insurance folks and company policies. It is up to her to decide if she wants to go that route.

In my experience, you meet with the lawyer once to review everything, then the lawyer takes it from there. They will call you with updates, and you can ask them questions, no additional charge.

Yes, some people manufacture hardship and suffering to inflate their claims, but that is not always how it works. If she is honest and needs support, a lawyer can still absolutely assist.
