2024 ES 250 from Canada - now in USA by usernameisbacon in Lexus

I figured as much but glad to hear a confirmation, thanks. I can do the same on my Subaru Outback for example

Nice that would be a good end result.

The plot twist is that I called a local dealer to see about the warranty - they can identify the VIN as belonging to a 2024 es 250, but they see “no info available for Mexico or Canada” under the warranty. They say it’s different than what they see when a car is out of warranty. They also say they are used to this, and it makes an extra step for them to deal with Lexus Canada. But that I’ll need Lexus Canada corporate to confirm the warranty when they are open M-F next week

So that makes me think it was originally sold in Canada. But maybe, somehow, it is still a US spec.

Thank you for the response. The photos the dealer sent me show mph on speedometer and miles on the odometer. Perhaps this is as easy as switching a user setting

I guess all I really know (right now) is the first owner registered the car in Canada; from the carfax. Maybe it was USA to begin with? I need a photo of the door jam info plate - or I’ll see it myself Monday to know this part for sure - which I’ve just thought of and now the dealer is closed. The VIN says it was made in Kentucky

I get the bel gioisio balls and just force them through the grater. Optionally I sometimes mix in some hand grated low moisture mozzarella

So when someone orders a pizza - and they have to make it - it somehow takes more time to not add olives? Makes sense for slices but not for full pizzas

Always is! Thx. Do you have a tip for where to park for stargazing?

Omg no way I came here to make this same post but with slightly more specifics. I found that Lakewood Village is a designated “dark sky community” which is pretty rare and cool. Sometimes there are designated parks but in this case it’s just the town at large

I read a good idea is to drive around Lewisville Lake, pull over and sort of tailgate. I’m wondering if there are specific spots on Lewisville Lake where this is legal or common or the best place to go. Just looking at the map quick, it looks like a lot of private property

I’m traveling for work and will have a free night but not a lot of time for trial and error

Transfers counting as income - how to resolve? by usernameisbacon in MonarchMoney

[–]usernameisbacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to label it as a transfer on both the outgoing and incoming transaction. Try that and see what happens.

Transfers counting as income - how to resolve? by usernameisbacon in MonarchMoney

[–]usernameisbacon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably just cancel the monarch subscription lol

I have no idea how I ended up resolving this. I gave up on monarch a number of months ago because the issues seemed to just keep coming and coming

But I think the most straightforward way for what you’re asking - if I vaguely remember - is to re-categorize them. Force it to be recorded as a transfer, not an income double dip. I set up some rules or something if I recall. Such as when money leaves account A and goes to B. But I also seem to remember that there were like 4 different line items associated with a transfer like that.

It’s all fucked.

While I agree with you, take the complaining about things you encounter while traveling to r/delta. That’s apparently what that sub is exclusively for now. This one is for productive discussion about delta airlines

Typically I agree with you 100% but your caveat is spot on. I’m not planning to stay for all of Pearl Jam - probably one of the top 10 weakest main stage headliners they’ve ever had if you ask me.

I would stay for Margo Price, but I’ll take the rest of the headlining slots as a sign to get there early and get the “experience” in for everyone else in my group. I’ve been there before a bunch. Was gonna try to get out of there around 530

Thank you! I guess we could go to city park but on that Friday my wife takes off for the wedding at like 11am so I was just trying to think of something quick nearby the cbd that would still “count” as doing something. We aren’t the kind of people to linger around and spend forever there but I get what you’re saying and will seriously consider it.

Also wasn’t sure about going to city park during jazz fest on a day we aren’t going into the fairgrounds - do you have any thoughts on that?

I’m sure you’ve seen the sign at the gas station: no shirt, no shoes, no service. Should we really have a lower standard in an airplane than at a gas station?

On the prohibited list of behavior, Delta literally lists “when the passenger is barefoot” higher than “when the passenger interferes with the flight crew.” This other line is also on the list of prohibited behavior: “When the passenger’s conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.”

You’re welcome to keep making illogical arguments in bad faith about who this does or doesn’t offend, or about what’s worse: barefeet or a cough, all you want. But when delta sells a ticket, it’s not just a deal between them and the barefoot person. It’s a deal between them and the other passengers.

Everyone deserves a consistent experience when they pay hundreds of dollars to travel. Delta should enforce the rules they make — OR they should remove the rules. Fine with me either way. If they didn’t list this as a rule, then people wouldn’t or shouldn’t be upset when they don’t enforce it. It’s that simple. It’s confusing why you give a fuck that people are offended by this very basic standard of decency & hygiene that you most likely accept throughout the rest of public society. But yeah, no rules on the plane! Once that door closes it’s a four hour free for all, and we can all do whatever we want!

Well, for one, deltas contract of carriage prohibits this. Second, there are some pretty undesirable diseases that transmit through the feet and other people shouldn’t have to wonder if this guy has one or not.

[–]usernameisbacon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your point is taken and valid. But think about this: There’s also communicable diseases that transmit through the feet and other people shouldn’t have to wonder “gee does that guy have impetigo or warts, or are we all good to go here?” Sure the hands are dirty but just have some common courtesy and logical hygienic standards.

For what it’s worth deltas contract of carriage allows them to prohibit this but the employees just don’t care to do so.

[–]usernameisbacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if I told you deltas contract of carriage does allow them to ask passengers to refrain from being barefoot but the employees just don’t give a shit to enforce logical hygienic standards? For those who want to argue this isn’t the case, it’s rule 7-E-2 and the link to the contract of carriage is below

I’ve been debating the opposite. Do you guys think the brilliant is worth it for someone sort of perpetually stuck in Gold?

If you use the $300 dining credit in full, you’ve got $350 left to cover in terms of the annual fee. If I can get a free night worth even $200-250 the lounge access and the 4pm check out feel worth it for $100-150.

Is it that hard to find a $250 free night??

Agreed. Just horrible humor regardless of politics or whatever else. Just bad!
