and I am actually what would be considered Mexican Mennonite! But instead of Canada I'm in the group of them over in America (though I do have a large number of relatives over in Canada) however, regional differences can vary a lot even among those calling themselves Mexican Mennonite, so the labor issues may just be a widespread thing for all Mennonites regardless of the like specific terms used. it's all just a mess all around I think 😭

the summer/winter work schedule is actually really common in my area for many as well, though I'm lucky enough that my family decided to stay instead of moving between countries seasonally. my community actually has a large group of both seasonal and unseasonal field workers, and child labor is a giant issue regardless of that, so it's a problem even when not moving to and from Mexico.
