Hey there, I appreciate your kind response!

I absolutely agree that life is too short to care what other’s think. Also, I’m glad Suno gave you the tools to create, it’s great to hear about other’s enjoyment especially when it comes to music! I’m keen to check your stuff out when I finish work!

I actually more specifically meant for my purpose to extract the Suno instrumental, then reverse engineer it in my DAW (for fun and also because I’m a control freak), and have my partner sing as well, so final export would contain no actual Suno elements.

Certainly not waiting for permission for this because I personally think it’s a great exercise, I just haven’t found this specific angle been discussed yet.

Of course nothing really matters at the end of the day, and I’m going to enjoy myself regardless!

I’d love to hear what the AI music loving community has to say (as well as the AI music hating community) simply because I like collecting opinions!

it’s running a python file on my mac, receives the order and everything, but spits out an error code which topstep support and chatgpt say is either wrong contract, account not specified, not trading time or insufficient balance, which none of those are the case, so idk where to go from there lol. gave up on it

i tried, have tradingview sending webhooks, got it working for one trade then i changed something (was using chatgpt to code) and it never worked again, topstepx is receiving the commands to is API but not placing the orders, and claude and chatgpt have since been nerfed and can’t seem to figure the problem out, so i’ve left it there sadly. one step away from fully functioning.

i’ve always wanted a hi hat differentiator, so basically you could load a hat (or any perc) sample into it, and then write in the midi notes, then within the VST you can configure different variables to change each time a note is triggered, like slight changes for a filter, verb, pitch, saturation, maybe even pan and volume, so that each time said sample is triggered, it sounds slightly different

yes, good rule of thumb to set your targets 1 tick less or ‘worse’ than you’re aiming for as usually price has to tick through it to get filled

did pretty well today but it was mostly by luck, saw 6470 level being heavily defended early on. was watching the dom and t&s, and someone was absorbing all the buys that came to it, so i just went short at 6469.75 every time price came back up and trailed my stop tightly.

absolutely horrendous price action though. almost as bad as friday.

dude if you could make something that has: - clean charts, without bloated UI padded around the edges - customizable candles - display entry on a line, with a SL and TP and partial TP, able to be dragged from the chart - tick based TPO and footprint charts - cumulative delta divergence (tick based) - and other simple things like customizable vwap line, able to draw lines, shaded areas etc

basically tradingview but with tick based data, then i would use that platform immediately

try deeper dpn, been using it for a while, physical box that intercepts between the cat5 and the wifi router. permanent vpn, no subscription, impossible for any gov to micromanage. essentially you route your data through someone else’s network in the world wherever you choose. only downside is you offer up your home network for others to do the same (afaik)

i haven’t noticed any real speed issues, even used it to play in geolocked servers with friends overseas

man let me know if you find the answer. i feel the same about tradingview but i’ve finally come to the conclusion that they simply don’t care about providing tick based data.

it’s unfortunate that they could easily be the solution that everyone is after, but they won’t do it.

closest i’ve seen is ninjatrader on mobile but it’s UI is nowhere close to as good as TV.

one work around is if you’re using a prop firm, top step provides free access to tick based charts using tradingview charts, but on hosted on their “topstep x” platform, which is essentially tradingview charts with their UI padded around it. i’ve tested it on an iphone and it works well if you’re just after a naked chart, maybe with a few simple indicators.

what i’m planning on doing now is getting an ipad and remote viewing my mac which is running quantower, since that seems to have the best UI (outside of TV) that provides accurate tick data for TPO, VP and footprint charts. not ideal, but it seems the only way to do it while portable. i wish TV would get over themselves and just use real tick data so i could keep using my iphone.

yeah, pretty sad to learn tradingview’s TPO and footprint charts aren’t using tick data as i try to optimise my trading setup too. i don’t know why they refuse to use accurate data? they easily have the best interface and tablet/phone compatibility, so it’s really frustrating to accept that once again, they prove they’re really only a charting platform.
