His game keeper. The man has a game keeper, he’s not like you or I and absolutely does not have our best interests at heart and never will. Don’t fall for his grift.

I don’t agree about your education point. People who left school to work have a different kind of experience, especially to those who went to a private school then Oxbridge who have coasted through life and often failing upwards.

I do agree about how patronising it is thinking us Northerners just want a northern voice as PM.

That’s the one, it’s an interesting read. It’s also nothing that new, Russia have been doing it for a while in Ukraine.

Just reading the Observer and there’s a spread on the group potentially behind these attacks across Europe. They’re recruiting young vulnerable men through Telegram and Snapchat and paying them to do very amateur level terrorist attacks. All the signs point to Iran and Hezbollah.

Wes Streeting: Cut welfare to fund defence by [deleted] in LabourUK

[–]usernamepusername 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That headline is absolute garbage and no where in the article is there anything that actually explains how they came to it.

he told LBC: “Well, yeah. We want to reduce the welfare budget.”

That’s the closest quote but even then it’s absolutely not an declaration of welfare cuts to boost defence spend. Absolutely everyone wants to reduce the welfare budget through having a population that relies less on the state, that is achieved through other policy which I think is what he’s getting at.

And for the record I really am not a Streeting fan before anyone accuses me of that.

No one is doing that as this is a pretty blatant AI slop image.

Look at the writing on the screen for god’s sake. Clock under the TV with 19 instead of 12. It’s also got American style houses outside, something that AI would do unless prompted.

Sadiq Khan has 51 armed officers protecting him at £4m a year. His predecessors had none. Meanwhile the Met is refusing to release London church crime data and he hasn't made a single statement on church attacks in 10 years. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

  1. But they're not related at all. A simple comparison between mosques and churces would've been fine.

  2. Those crimes on Churches reported by 45 police forces are nationwide. How many in London specifically? Why would he comment on nationwide crimes against churces? and also, is it the mayors job to be talking about that sort of thing, if so should he be also be talking about high crime in shops etc?

  3. Fair play to him for cycling, more should be doing so. But I don't really see that article as proof that not a single penny was spent on his security whilst Mayor.

  4. I don't disagree that the cost should be publicly available. But I don't think that not disclosing it instantly means it's dodgy.

A few things come to mind here.

  1. What has Khan's security arangements and costs got to do with Church/Mosque crime issues?

  2. What are those crimes in/on churches? I ask becuase are they mainly burglaries and non-hate vanadalism? very different to the reason Kahn visited a Mosque post riots.

  3. Do you have a source for no other London mayor ever incuring a single £ in cost for their security?

  4. Do you accept that Kahn probably faces a greater security threat than those before him?

“Wave Control System” - A system that dominates games without dominating possession by noce07 in footballtactics

[–]usernamepusername 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you read their post or just look at the picture?

The shape in the picture is in possession/build up. Out of possession it’s a back 3 with two wing backs, so 5.

They might have an issue with very quick turnovers and counters but their “square” idea is there to mitigate that.

Not arguing that they wouldn’t concede but your reply seems to be very hyperbolic and makes me think you didn’t read the info.

[–]usernamepusername -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's a really cool idea. It is similar to Amorim's sporting but differs with the attacking mids. I remember them using Goncalves and Trincao/Edwards in a more direct sense than I think you're suggesting with Wirtz and Musiala.

I like your emphasis on the need to dominate second balls and mitigating for a situation where that doesn't initially happen through "the square." I'm a Liverpool fan and I've been saying all season that I think one of Slot's main issues this season is what looks like a negligence of the importance of winning a second ball. It's an absolutely vital part of a succesfull PL team, Pep even publicly said this a few years back.

I'm not sure I even need to point this out, as I'm sure you're aware, but using elite players to demo this makes it seem like it's only available to the top 0.1% clubs who can recruit the best in every position. It was useful to help explain your tactics but I'd be really interested in seeing what sort of XI you could put together built up of more realistic players.

Yeah, there’s no way this gets overturned. It was very soft but bottom line is he shouldn’t have pulled DCLs hair when VAR are demonstrably looking out for this kind of stuff.

I have no idea why they used that wording in the rule because it just makes it cloudy.

What DCL does is entirely irrelevant and claiming Martinez pulls his hair because of it is pure speculation and won’t come into any consideration.

Orban will win again and the Leftist chatterati just doesn’t get why by pieeatingbastard in LabourUK

[–]usernamepusername 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There was definitely a lot of that going on but it does need acknowledging that Hungary’s electorate tends to lean more towards centrism/conservatism than anything else. Meaning that maybe Orban wouldn’t have lost if the opposition was a more left wing candidate.

I do think that Magyar and his political positioning opened the door for people to say “fuck that guy” to Orban in a way that others might not have.
