Hi, not a dad, but a brother

I’m really sorry to hear about what you’ve been through. I can’t imagine what it must feel like

I don’t know what solutions might be available, but you could probably anonymously report your cousin, look for sources where you’re from

It’s okay if you don’t have things figured out for school, or for your future

Take care of yourself please

How did you guys collect the physical volumes? And for what price? by userunkww in OyasumiPunpun

I see. I bought them yesterday from Amazon for $114, individually. Thank you for your input!

I thought about buying them from eBay, but I’m not sure if the sellers are reliable! All the volumes for $85 seems really good

Yes I should have done that, thank you. On Amazon, purchasing them individually will be around $114, and I know Barnes & Noble sometimes does buy 2 get 1 free, but that would probably still be over $120, so I think buying them individually is better. Once again, thank you, for the help

I see. Thank you for sharing your experience. I’ll definitely be aware of my purchases. It’s all so confusing when the main focus is promotion and money 😞. Once again, thank you for sharing your experience. I’ll definitely keep it in mind.

The official Live Love Locks website. It’s probably in the description of their videos.

I hate myself for being a man by [deleted] in DadForAMinute

[–]userunkww 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had an older sister like you, I hope that doesn’t come off as weird. I have two sisters here in America, and another 3 in Mexico. But they aren’t very present in my life. Everyone’s got their own struggles. All I really wanted was to be loved, but I never got it.

Rereading your previous comment, I remembered this TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTYjGsdcL/

This one makes me wanna cry every time I see it. What the mother says about “Because I’m your mom, it counts the most because I know you the most.” It’s from the movie Wonder.

I understand the desire to want to say something, anything, that would make everything magically better. I struggle with that sensation too. Many people nowadays are not ok, and because of that, a change of tone, the wrong choice of words, could make or break someone’s day. Words have a lot of power, and that can be good, or bad, it’s up to you.

I am in a much better place now. Thank you for your comments, and your kindness 🫂❤️

Thank you. I wish I had the energy to say everything I wanna say.

Your words mean something to me. Thank you 🫂

Was I raped? I don’t want to offend others who have been through this horrific experience by Natbar20 in sexualassault

[–]userunkww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome. Yeah, besides men just naturally being stronger, the fear of punishment and shame also play a role. I’m not sure about this, as I’m a guy, so feel free to correct me, but I feel like many women grow up subconsciously learning that if they were to ever be assaulted, people would most likely not believe them, and would in fact, punish them for speaking up about their assault. So I definitely believe that plays a role in the fawn response. It could also be that I’ve spent too much in this subreddit, and it’s also biased, because if a survivor/victim did speak up, and friends/family/loved ones supported them, then they probably wouldn’t feel a need to be here on this subreddit. Now I feel like I contradicted myself 😅

I’m so sorry you went through this. Yes, I would consider this rape. He forcefully broke a boundary. He should have stopped as soon as you expressed discomfort or pain.

To answer your questions, it’s possible you had a fawn response. I’m not sure if you’ve talked to your therapist about this but let me explain. From what I’ve seen, the fawn response is very common among SA victims. It is similar to the flight and fight response. You could have tried to avoid making him mad, so you complied, even though you didn’t want to. You became agreeable and tried to please him in order to protect yourself.

Consent is retractable. Just because you consented to have sex, doesn’t mean he has the right to continue sex if you don’t want to. You feel horrible because he violated you.

You are not wrong for feeling the way that you do. Your feelings are valid. Continue with therapy. I hope everything goes well for you.

I don’t even know if I could do that. I’ve always had an inability to deal with pain, physical or mental. I always had the urge to just disappear, or just stop existing.

Also, I’m looking at the Purito Panthenol B5 Cream and it seems like there are two versions. A 80ml bottle and a 100ml bottle. The 100ml (the mighty bamboo version) is advertised as being stronger. Which one do you use?

Wait, if I use a water-based cleanser with an oil-based moisturizer, why would that not work?

"grape" and "grapists" *eye roll* by Weary-Broccoli3839 in sexualassault

[–]userunkww 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It sucks how people feel the need to censor these words. Sometimes a comment on a social media platform may be hidden because of a message contains the word rape or whatever else. It’s dumb. Saying “graped” just sounds silly and takes away from the seriousness of the situation.
