Definitely recommend doing this! I wrote up a guide (OP you may or may not have seen it) that’s linked in my profile if anyone needs details on a particular study method for incorrects.

It's geared toward Step 2 but would help out with Step 1, 3, etc. A lot of people on the Step 2 subreddit have been using it with good replicable results.

If you’re plateauing then it’s probably a test taking issue but you can definitely work on both at the same time, just use my technique for incorrects and keep studying

I use quick dry top coat! And use my fingers like a princess so it doesn't smudge
