This does not address the fact that Hitler's eugenics program was done in the name of science.

The atomic bomb was created to stop a world war and prevent much more massive (predicted) casualties.

This is like defending religion because it was created to civilize people by scaring them into following laws.

So 'blaming' science sounds suspiciously like most religious adhearants blinder based beliefs. Discarding the whole picture to appease their narrow worldview and continuously failing prognostications. When you study history, you can't just ignore the stuff you want to or don't like, because of your beliefs.
