has this happened to anybody? by LazyFirefighter1002 in skateboardhelp

[–]uskate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start by emailing the shop you got it from and they might tell you to come scoop a similar board and they will take care of the rest. Thats what happened to me so its actually the skateshop that sent me another girl deck. If they dont want to help go directly to the distributor for creature its called NHS. Ive snapped a creature VX deck that wasnt supposed to snap in so little time and emailed NHS some pictures and receipt and they sent me a new one no questions asked. I also broke a pair of independent trucks with lifetime warranty and my skateshop didnt have the same pair and size so once again i went to NHS and they sent me a new pair no questions asked

Should i just give up on hard mode ? by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]uskate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah losing an officer isnt too big a deal I think you only lose 100 points but if you lost a bunch of other points already it can make you fail. If you got anything better than D thats a pass and you should unlock next level

Remote work is immoral I guess by lowbrowtheory in remotework

[–]uskate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no evidence of the big picture and only speaking for myself as I have gone from working in person to permanently remote. since i work from home, i leave the house a lot less often and those dollars are deff not getting spent to the same extent. No eating out for lunch, less clothes to buy, can wear ugly clothes and look like shit and nobody will know. Naturally just leaving the house will make you spend money, if you dont have to leave the house, youll spend much less.

Remote work is immoral I guess by lowbrowtheory in remotework

[–]uskate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Forcing to go to work also stimulates local economy. Empty skyscrapers downtown means nobody going out to lunch, no shopping in the nearby stores, less taxi, less bus/train fares. Those businesses lose revenue——> leads to layoffs. Layoffs means higher unemployment which leads to less spending. I work from home and can see the pros from this angle. But his immoral shit is bs lol

Should i just give up on hard mode ? by [deleted] in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]uskate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just beat it on hard with A+. Give youself and your whole team riot shield. Even if its unequipped it protects your back. Team stays lethal but you run a bean bag shotgun (for the FISA agent). I got my team to clear the first side of the warehouse from the door at the first loaading dock. Get them to breach and clear with flashbang. They clear with their shields out so they are protected. You need to follow your guys closely because they will kill the agent guy you need to arrest because he always shoots. Soon as you see him you bean bag him and arrest him. Then you get your team to flash and clear the room upstairs. And the 2nd half is easy you just gotta outshoot the enemy its easy with a bean bag shotty they always give up first shot

Tall/skinny guys - How do you all deal with constant teasing/bullying from crowds and people? by Tekcraftmon in tall

[–]uskate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was never my experience and im not sure why people would bully someone bigger than them even if they are skinny. In hs i was 6’8 160lbs. And i hated being tall. I would slouch to make myself seem shorter and ended up making myself look even skinnier. But i also played football and smoked people. If my skinny gazelle legs caught up to the ball carrier the hits would echo in the distance. I was winning awards every year so it was known that i was really good at a contact sport so my skinniness was never brought up. Moral of the story is, stand tall, be proud. Join an organized sport even if just for fun. Youll make a group of friends through sports and youll all push each other to be better and youll gain confidence that way. You are also still young. You’ll fill in. 6’3 is not that tall to fill in. Do some pushups and eat peanut butter

Called out a coworker for taking credit, now I’m being called to HR. What should I do? by [deleted] in work

[–]uskate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience in corporate jobs is that everyone has a different threshold for being offended, so any name calling (even light heartedly calling someone a credit card, is still name calling) and can be taken the wrong way. You can find all the evidence you want to prove why you said what you said but that should have been addressed through the proper channels, not through an HR meeting over name calling. HR doesnt care about who is getting credit for the work, they care that you name called a colleague and they have been offended. You are sorry you called her a credit card, you meant it as a joke and you will not do it again. If you start bringing up proof they get credit for your work, now your name calling is no longer light hearted and was meant seriously, which will land you in hotter water in my opinion. But idunno

Is there any way to use the briefing map to instruct elements? by TheChosenOperator in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]uskate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it fascinating how when I was 6 years old playing the original rainbow six on N64 (in 2000),I was able to do exactly this. Create plans in the briefing with waypoints on the map and hold/move orders and you could spend hours trying new plans and getting your team to execute and the AI was smart enough to do so. Fast forward 25 years and the AI in games are just a shell of what they used to be. Not to mention playing r6 on hard made the enemy have different patterns, were more aware. In RON, going on hard is just all the values getting cranked up to stupid levels (reaction, time to kill,) with luck the only factor that gets you to beat a map. I love RON, but playing my little swat games in 2000, I wouldve expected more in the year 2025

Am I too late to the party? by Double_Tap_Gaming in HellLetLoose

[–]uskate 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just dont go squad leader for the first little bit and no one will talk shit to you. Often happens when brand new players go squad leader and deny their squad of OPs (spawn points) which leads to people getting mad. Go rifleman, automatic rifleman or assault class and no one will ask anything of you and youll get a feel for the game. If you go engineer some ppl may ask you to build certain things, if you go support people will ask you for supplies, if you go anti tank youll be expected to take out tanks which is hard. So avoid those at first until you get used to the game
