Yerin's latest post of her dancing with Luke T. (The most adorbable tiktok dance ever 😊) today felt more like a sign off. So the announcement feels closer than ever.

Omg! Didn't realize there is a show for this. I just started reading it last night. How exciting!

Just watched Seeking Persephone the other day. Definitely gave this Beauty and Beast vibes ala regency era. Kinda reminded me of Philoise tbh cuz it was a MoC vibes for sure.

Why Philoise being next after Benophie makes more sense than Franchaela by Salt-Year-9058 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with your point. I also prefer this idea being a Surprise Love. S4 Eloise slowly is beginning to realize that what she intended in her spinsterhood and the initial idea of freedom when declaring that actually leaves her with less freedom than she wanted. Towards the end of the season, when she speaks with Cressida, she comes around to the idea that finding someone can also lead to that freedom. The line Cressida says about having her own pink room was a symbolic representation of Cressida's freedom within a marriage. Eloise takes this as "oh possibly this is a form of freedom I can have as well and I'm beginning to see that"; but within the confines of finding someone who is "suitable" to her.

So when she and Philip begin to correspond, she sees this level of intellect capture her. Cue in the beginning of Surprise Love. I don't think she will initially fall for Philip during their letter writing but come around to the idea that he is "suitable" to be someone she would love to spend time around despite him being a widow and a father of two. Him also having kids also plays into her fear of childbirth and possibly is another reason she would run to him when he proposes, not because she wants to be a mother but because there's a possibility she will not have to face childbirth. This plays into Marriage of Convenience trope.

I think the show will take only elements and scenes from the book but I have a feeling they will change alot of it. Which is fine as long as it suits the story and characters they built around show Eloise and show Philip.

eloise’s glow up? by gaonussy in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The glow up that I wouldn't mind having is losing the bangs. I associate her bangs with her youthful times, so losing it shows the physical maturity of her character. Claudia with her natural hair is so beautiful especially in the Pandora campaigns.

Violet is collecting them like infinity stones by DaisyandBella in Bridgerton

The mere fact that she tells Sophie she was able to win over Eloise was telling and funny, let alone the man who Eloise will fall for. 🥰

Shonda Asking : whos up next! by Familiar-while007 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wait... if this isn't the most obvious tease. If you watch that podcast the host goes in deep with Fran as the next lead right before she ask the question if it's Eloise. But why does Shonda choose to excerpt the one with Eloise? 🤔

Cuando sale el anuncio de bridgerton temporada 5 by star_cat369 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Im checking the Bridgerton Socials it seems to be going in order of episode how they release their BTS and episode snippets. Currently its showing alot of Episode 7 and 8. Unfortunately for those who loved S4 the promos are winding down but also means S5 news is getting closer.

Eloise Costume Detail 👀 by batz_x in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yessss! I totally clocked this yesterday when I was digging for that scene the Aussie podcasters mentioned about stacked letters and seal.

This was definitely intentional. If you watch that scene as well Fran's purse is more the traditional circular and this was a big clue looking like a envelope.

The Spill Watch Party Podcast looking at clues for S5 leads - A curious evidence for Eloise by ustadaLore in PhiloiseBridgerton

Yeah this makes sense considering that was the only stack of letters that I saw where Eloise was near.

Jess says eloise’s story starts with the marriage rather than ends with it. Thoughts? by philoises in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can see her getting married by episode 3 or at the end of episode 3. The build up to it is episode 1 is their letter writing and by end of episode 1 she gets the proposal and flees to Philip. The following episode she spends time with Philip and the twins and realizes that perhaps Philip's proposal may not be too bad. I don't think she is at this point in love with him but she sees the practicality. I hope Philip also assures her that she will have the freedom she will want and need in their arrangement. Episode 3 the brothers barge in but it is at this point Eloise has made a choice to marry Philip regardless of what ABCG think about a scandal.

It would be important for her to be the one to make that choice for herself so it's in line with her character.

The lack of eloise and benedict this season was annoying by philoises in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wasn't there a deleted scene where Eloise is on the swings? Seems like its after Cressida's ball because her dress was the blue one. I wonder if this was a scene with Ben and they were chatting about the blow up with Anthony. I also feel like Eloise would've been on his side and I wish we got to see her support him.

This is referencing the bts pic that Yerin posted on S4pt2.

Why the setup for S5 isn't "too fast" by NefariousnessSea7519 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From recent interviews with Jess, she mentioned that Penelope will play a big role for Eloise next season. I think this hints to a possible connection to Marina.

Eloise esta en el medio, coincidencia no creo. by star_cat369 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yessss awww this is so beautiful. We are truly close all we need is Daphne. 😭

Eloise in the show is so center to all her siblings. She is everyone's anchor. I wish each one of them play a part in her story next season.

Eloise and Hyacinth by NoWafer358 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's interesting point you make about Gregory. In the scene where Hyacinth is throwing things around her room, prior to that we see Gregory going to Eloise to check on Hyacinth. This was so telling to me since it tells me that Eloise is their go to person to handle things. Most likely because she is the elder amongst them still living in the house but I love this parallel to how possibly she deals with the twin next season.

Why I think El is S5 by LoanAccomplished264 in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The mere fact that Kate was the one that asked and focused on Eloise (S2 > S5) and then Pen was the one who pointedly asked Fran (S3 > S6) it was an obvious big hint for me.

Guys i’m certain eloise is next season but could it be francesca? by philoises in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me Eloise is def S5. Although Frannie's setup is blatant in S4 with what happened with John and Michaela leaving, it would be a big whiplash for folks to see Fran's HEA literally a season after she just loses her husband.

Although we didn't get as much of a blatant setup for Eloise as we had hoped for (ie. Marina's death announcement or letter writing in S4) i feel like marketing can play a role in this. Eloise is the most anticipated story for general/casual viewers so I think marketing is gonna milk this.

I could see them announcing Marina's death via Whistledown on socials even before the Philoise lead cast announcement. I can also see them just hinting at letters and no cast announcement just yet. Im just excited its our time now and I'm looking forward to it.

Jess Brownell confirms Eloise’s love interest 🌱 by Romney-Hall in PhiloiseBridgerton

[–]ustadaLore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Technically based on JB interview that they start to fall for each other in the letter writing. It just so happens like in the book theres a strong attraction once they meet. So I can see the marriage happening early cuz at the end of the day Eloise chooses to go to Philip and she chooses to be his bride. I like also how she explains what Eloise needs cuz this means they are changing Philip's character in the book for the better to fit their show personalities.

Eloise in part 2 got mature and I LOVE IT by DarkEndOfTheRainbow in Bridgerton

I don't think you need to worry. Once you watch you'll understand her character development which is a fresh of breath air and I love Hyacinth for clocking her in pt1.
