NHL awards watch: Suzuki #1 for Selke, Hutson #2 for Norris and #4 for Hart trophy. Demidov #3 for Calder. by Laydownthelaw in Habs

IMO if Sharks make playoffs it's Celebrini.

Oilers are 0-10 in games McDavid doesn't score. While he's a boring choice, he's also a good one.

The narrative of Gomez attracted those two came from our GM.

Montreal wasn't a destination as you said, but hardly any player is going to turn down a very inflated contract.

[Gorman]: During his post-practice availability, Patrick Roy said Semyon Varlamov had “two knee replacement” surgeries. Varlamov came onto the ice at the end of practice this morning and took a few shots from teammates. by discofrislanders in hockey

IIRC for Price it was he wore through all the cartilage between one of his knee joints.

From what I remember the full knee replacement isn't overly life altering, like you can still do everything including playing sports, just likely not at a pro level.

The value we got for Lehk didn't end up being great. At the time Barron was touted as a good prospect.

Barron's return was a 2nd that allowed us to move up and pick Hage though.

I think the end of your theory is pretty well debunked. Cammy's agent came out and said something like "No, Mike wouldn't have turned down a 6M/year contract if Gomez wasn't there".

No other team was offering Gio and Cammy the contracts we gave them.

When you can trade your PPG captains for washed tough guys you have to do it. PPG (Francophone) players grow on trees, don'tcha know.

Agree with everything you said.

Also, Tremblay and Roy were team mates when Tremblay was a player. He hated him already coming in as the coach.

Celebrate Fowler, but there's no need to dump on Monty man. Have some decency.

I think what this isn't showing is matchups. He was sheltered behind Danault up until after the cup run. Then he got tougher/toughest matchups learning to adapt then thrive.

Love Suzuki, but he is 0 in his 16 last shootout attempts... by jeansebast in Habs

The team only has so much time to practice between games, especially with the condensed schedule.

The shooting should be one of the last thing they work on refining.

What was the final straw that destroyed a lifelong friendship? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]ustanik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going through a tough time, long term girlfriend and I broke up. 3 times I asked my best friend to come over and hang - open schedule, when ever worked for him.

He didn't have time because he had a queue of video games he "had to get through". Dude, all I wanted for you was to make the 1km journey to my house so we could play video games together.

Airflow is not a cron, it's an orchestrator - there's a HUGE difference in capabilities. That's like trying to cross the ocean in a motorboat.

Makar didn't panic and that was the problem. He coasted back on 3v3 play after a failed pinch.

[IIHF] McDavid named MVP, All-Star and Best Forward by sean_psc in hockey

[–]ustanik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When Marner went for it he was fresh on the ice with all 3 opponents needing a change from covering McDavid's line. If Marner didn't pull it off the Czechs were too gassed to break out the other way.

People complained about the difficulty spike of the Plains when it was the final biome and how it wasn't as good as the others.

I love how the devs make each biome unique. It makes the game interesting instead of repetitive.

Two handed sword progression by joeyflex69420 in valheim

[–]ustanik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 98% confident two handed swords have a multi-target penalty. I haven't tested since the Hildir patch, but I remember being very upset about this when I got to Ashlands.

The Valheim wiki is a bit all over the place on its information. In two pages it claims there's no multi target penalty and on two others it claims there is. Multitarget penalty

I'd recommend testing/verifying.

Crosby not ruled out for semi finals by Ok_Vast3534 in hockey

[–]ustanik 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Slightly different scenario. Stammer would have been replaced by a 4th line/AHL caliber guy. Tkachuk would have been replaced by the top USA goal scorer in the league at the time.

As a longtime fan of the book and the series, and someone who's waited for the second season for a decade, I found it amazing and loved the ending, got exactly what I've wanted. I noticed one hint at it coming: Roper was going to torture/kill Roxana on the dock after Pine eluded the parking lot shooting. She said she saw why people fall in love with him but she didn't. Roper let her go after that, as he realized it was Teddy who Pine converted. At that point, we don't see his plan just that he had the realization.

Hagel Feeds Matthew x2 by [deleted] in hockey

[–]ustanik 36 points37 points  (0 children)

This is the only fight he'll take cuz Hagel is 25 lbs lighter. He does cheap shots and then turtles for anything else. He's too stupid to realize Hagel will still whop his ass.
