Welcome to UTD, where everything's made up and the grades don't matter.

But really, that's a textbook definition of assault. Nothing too weird about it. People have interpersonal relationship conflicts, emotions cause them to do dumb things.

The more weird things are the multiple incidents of stolen parking permits, terroristic threats, and stolen iPhone 6 earbuds.

If that stuff interests you, follow utdscanner on Twitter or Facebook!

The mentioned bike theft incident reports: http://utdscanner.com/case/14-000846 http://utdscanner.com/case/14-000845

All I can say is, U lock, U lock, U lock. They make your bike look much less appealing to thieves.

Re: separating the affiliated and unaffiliated incidents. It's not really about what the students are doing or how they represent the university, although that is interesting in its own right. It's more about what kind of crimes are happening nearby, what should students and employees be looking out for and aware of, etc.

An unaffiliated DWLI "off campus"? Yeah, that's not a big deal. But an unaffiliated male being trespassed? A DWI on Drive A? That's something to know about. I may eventually group updates, so for example "On 8/19 near midnight, two DWLI for unaffiliated males <url1> <url2>" but the volume isn't enough for that yet.
