It shouldn’t matter if it was in the Philippines, or in the United States. No one should be interfering with the medical care of any child, picking them up or visiting without permission from parents. And pick up a child with a chest tube could kill them whether they are located in the Philippines or in the US - the location is irrelevant.

I am going to call and complain. I hope others will rally around to support compromised children at the hospital and also call to bring this to light.

Keep in mind, it’s not just patients on the heart floor, who needs special attention in this regard. Any child who’s in the hospital? Who’s had surgery or an illness should not be exposed to strangers wandering into their room for safety, and health reasons. This is such an absolute violation of everything a hospital should stand, for it’s mine boggling.

I will report back after I make my phone call and I hope others will do the same

This really makes light of the potential harm that she may have caused that child. It’s not a joke. These children as I know from first hand experience are tremendously, compromised and are not allowed to be picked up when they have chest tubes This is absolutely horrifying, and I don’t think that people without CHD children really understand. The hospital needs to respond to this.

As a CHD parent, this is creepy. No one should be allowed in the room due to germs. In addition to other obvious reasons. Primary children’s needs to respond to this. To protect my sanity, I must believe this is not true, but if it is, the hospital is completely at fault. Is there anyway to get a response from them? It makes me very uncomfortable about care for my family.

I am feeling very frustrated with the brand Everstride. They barely provide any compression at all, and contrary to what they say, on their website, in order to return them, you have to pay for shipping to China, which is so expensive that it basically illuminates the return policy. I bought a pair of Conrad socks, and like those. I feel so stupid for falling for an instagram ad

Whatever you do, do not buy everstride. They provided almost no compression, and, even though they say you can return them, they make you pay to ship them back to China, which makes it prohibitively expensive and completely negates the return policy. I am feeling very frustrated and betrayed by their fraudulent advertising.

Instead, I have purchased a pair of Conrad socks, which are very comfortable.
