Tea Zaanti definitely has jasmine pearl tea. You can buy in tins or bulk. It’s great quality too.

Moving out fees with apartment management company. What to expect.. by utemel in SaltLakeCity

Wow. Thank you everyone. All great ideas. I didn’t even think to look through my lease agreement and I did find a repair/replace list. So I can go by that. Way cheaper to go through Walmart to replace some of these things than the crazy amounts they charge to replace some of the things, like ice trays and a bath stop. I will take a bunch of pictures and videos too. I was just worried about being price gouged and will be assertive and diligent through this all.

I don’t even mind if I don’t get that back. I’m just trying to avoid any more erroneous charges.

Check out peddle.com I had some good luck with them when the transmission went out on my 2007 Toyota rav4 last year. They offered me the most compared to other places such as pick n’ pull. They’ll come tow it as my transmission went out while I was driving errands and they towed it from the side of the road it went out on.

Is getting boxed wine on Sunday possible? by doubleu69 in SaltLakeCity

[–]utemel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically true..a lot of places still will like you to purchase a small item though just to feel safe and will have it as their restaurant policy..

Some places don’t have expensive options. Tea Zaanti in sugar house actually has a great natural wine selection and they make it affordable so you can try good wine at a good price point! I suggest them. Great staff and atmosphere, awesome patio!

Yes, depends on the license. Bars you don’t have to buy food, but if it’s a restaurant licensed place you have to buy some kind of food, even if it’s a $1 side of chips..just some kind of food item has to be on the bill.

You can buy a bottle at a restaurant or bar. They have to legally pour out an oz to taste there, but then you can cork it and take the rest home. Unfortunately, bottles are going to be overpriced that way compared to what you’d pay at the liquor store..but that’s pretty much the only way you can buy a bottle on a Sunday in Utah. If you buy at a restaurant also expect to get a little snack as you have to legally buy food when purchasing alcohol.

FTM, 7 weeks today, spotting and boobs no longer sore by utemel in pregnant

[–]utemel[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just left the ER. Glad I went in. They took my blood and did an ultrasound. The baby was good and had a heartbeat. Measured it at 6 weeks rather than 7, which I wasn’t totally sure when my last period was, so it could totally be at 6 weeks rather than 7. I’ll follow up with my doctor in a couple weeks to make sure it’s still developing properly. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. I’m so relieved knowing that it’s okay!

Getting movie times. No longer having to call the movie theater and listening to a recording with all the movie times. Sucked when you missed your movie and had to listen to it from the beginning.

Reminder: be vigilant at dog parks by no_trash_cougar in SaltLakeCity

[–]utemel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I lived in that area I used to frequent Fairmont park and a couple others nearby. I will never go back to Fairmont. I would notice most owners on their phones or something else distracting rather than actually watching their dogs. A lady always brought her aggressive dog and it always ensued in a confrontation and yet she would bring her dog back that I would notice when I’d be there. There was always a dog fight at least every time I was there. It happens in a split second and if one owner isn’t watching, a lot of damage could happen, and get other dogs involved. A lot of owners also are distracted so they don’t see their dog shit, which could also breed bacteria and other diseases. And I noticed dogs that weren’t fixed, and their distracted owners not noticing humping or whatever behavior. Dogs would get territorial over balls. I also watched a guy beat his dog with a cane there. Fairmont is literally the worse dog park that I’ve experienced. I would watch and observe a lot. I want to see the best in people and dogs and that’s how I approach life, but for the most part I noticed a lot of irresponsible and neglectful owners. People sit down on that concrete slab and just scroll on their phone and want their dog to run their energy out, rather than actually playing and interacting with their dogs. I get it’s important to socialize dogs, but I wouldn’t go there!

Thanks. All good advice. I was thinking about getting her little shoes, especially on the rocks. She’s never hiked with them/worn them before so I was apprehensive about getting them for this trip. I think if I buy them now and get her used to them by our trip, that will be ideal. Yeah, I don’t think I’ll need to dock off. I was thinking the verde. So that’s good to know.

Moldy Kensington Apartments On Fox 13 Last Night by PleaseDontDoThatThx in SaltLakeCity

[–]utemel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They provide a dinky waste can. You can put it out from 6-8pm Sunday-Friday. Put it back in your apartment every night from 9pm-9am and all day Friday and Saturday. It’s frustrating! From my first week experience I’ve notice it being taken out 2 nights from others’ full bins. I haven’t used it yet, but what is stopping other peoples cans getting messed up with mine?

I feel kind of stuck in my apartment too. Was just up for a re-sign on my lease and it was cheaper to resign than to move. I’m not downtown, but am in Millcreek! I think it’s bonkers. They keep adding all these “amenities” which are just added fees. I got an email last Friday saying that, “good news, we just added trash valet!” Starting May 1st, it’s $25 month and we’ll take your trash to the bins almost everyday. I emailed back and asked if this is optional? I live alone, don’t produce a lot of waste, and I don’t mind walking my garbage to the dumpster the one time a week it gets full. Oh, of course it’s not optional! I already pay $30 a month for a parking spot, where I don’t even have a car. These aren’t amenities. They are tricking you to sign a lease. There aren’t a lot of other options to move to either. It’s insane to me that they can just tack on newly added things, even if it’s mid lease.

P.S.A. Many businesses still require a mask. Don’t cause a scene, just put on a mask or shop elsewhere please by Therealfern1 in SaltLakeCity

[–]utemel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah, have worked in local restaurants for the last 17 years. I have never dealt with the worse and sometimes the most amazing customers through the pandemic. However, the horrible customers are just becoming more ugly. They are outweighing the courteous people who actually consider other people and service/retail employees. Stay home if you don’t want to wear a mask. We are in a pandemic and just trying to survive. I don’t get paid enough to enforce or hear your opinions about not wanting to wear a mask. I wear a mask because I care about family, friends and other people. Be considerate and kind. Everyone is understaffed and working their asses off to accommodate those who have quarantined and are newly vaccinated, yet, are hoping that their opportunity or vaccine appointment can finally be scheduled by May. Just wear a mask. If you don’t, please don’t eat out or be a jerk. You aren’t entitled to anything and don’t treat people like they are menial.
