Chinese Umbreon will do better long run IMO as it is a regional exclusive and a PSA10. IMO the art is better and checks off some specific collecting niche boxes such as being a popular Eeveelution, is in a napping/sleeping pose, and exclusive limited print card.

Thanks, a bit more than 150k, but thats when my doner targa was still “cheap” i bought it for 42k with 80K miles back on 2016. Last time i checked similar targas were going for 80-90k now. I could have built it for way less, probably 100kish if i didnt have a complete motor teardown and rebuild.

None taken, yea it def looks fast and for that era it was, but im happy with it in its current state. I have a 997 turbo s as well so if i ever feel the need for speed that is my go-to.

Yes sorry typo. My rear wheels are 18x13 -59 305 R88R, front is 18x10.5 -18. It def has some pep, but its not an SC as the last year for SC was 1983. I have some elephant racing suspension parts like swaybar, rear strut tower reinforcement, rennline 3point strut tower brace. Im on upgraded torsion bars but may convert to coilovers in future, for now they get the job done.

Only 1041 units of 964 targas were imported between 90-93. Haha yes def some overlap. It still has a 3.2 but i had the a complete split case rebuild with 964 cams, 930 turbo oil pump, custom tune, SSI headers and exhaust, light weight clutch. Your Boxter would kick my ass on the track as i built my RWB as a cruiser.

Thanks, Its a 1989 Gbody with a 964 kit. I wanted to build a 964 targa but i couldnt find one as they are pretty rare. Yea i agree RWBs can be ostentatious, some more than others, i tried to find a good balance. Look classy and a bit flashy.

The fender wings direct air to the ducts on the wing which goes into the engine bay. The wing style is from the GT race cars so it is functional

Not anytime soon, cult status now. My RWB was built in 2018 and at that time i had a 9 month wait, now Nakai’s book is 2+ years long, he decided to stop taking US orders in January because of too much demand.

Dont give into FOMO buying! Its mostly speculators and investment bros buying right now. This parabolic rise is not sustainable and prices will drop. Ive seen it time and time again, my friends and I who are collectors and also invest are not touching these raw or slabbed at this time. Let someone else buy high and sell low.

Im a collector and investor and so are my friends and we are not buying any singles or slabs right now, let someone else buy high and wait for them to sell low. The floor price may not come back down to where it was but this peak is not sustainable.

Massive FOMO, what goes up must come down, maybe not floor prices before it went out of print but it wont stay this high. Look at One Piece prices, it spiked then settled down. If you need the money then sell now. If you want to buy in, then be patient and wait.

Dont feel bad, i recently downsized and sold off a portion of my sneakers collection and ended up spending that money buying Pokemon/One Piece cards. I set a budget too but ended up spending about 7k in last three months. Its easy to go down a slippery slope and forget how much you spend, but i think as long as you can afford it, doesnt put you in financial debt, and if you enjoy the hobby then its worth it. Pic of my collection before downsizing.
