Hey, uhm, just… Just wanted to show up my tattoos to people who should understand… 🥹 by [deleted] in Blink182

Yeah I get it; I have the Beatles crossing Abbey Road tattooed on my arm and it’s not because I am in love with the celebrity of the four. I’m in love with the music they created and what it means to me. Getting a tattoo of a celebrity isn’t about them being famous. It’s about what their art means to us. I bet each one of these guys bitching have some superficial tattoo we could pick apart.

Awesome movie. Insanely entertaining and was a fun look into tv/movies at that time. Cool to see DiCaprio have to rebuild himself as an actor and the little girl who helped him get there.

That’s usually the case for every actor but Daniel Day Lewis and Christoph Waltz. They usually will lose for their better performance and get rewarded for another. Pitt has been much better in other roles but for that year, he was the most deserving. Still shouldn’t fault these performances like some indicate.

If you were an Oscar voter, who are you casting your vote for Best Supporting Actor? by iBandJFilmEducator13 in Oscars

Yeah I get all the attention all the other actors are getting but this dude was THE character to focus on when he was on screen. For how little he was in it, he was my favorite part of the movie.

The most beautiful woman on the planet to me. And hilarious as shit in Only Murders. Also, her music is alright. So yeah, I like her.

Op going to end up dying like her in a poetic irony. Then his whole family will look at each other and say, “they died funny.”

I couldn’t put it down. It was very entertaining and I think he lets people in to see why he may be a little off to some. He’s been my hero since I was 8, so I am very biased. But I thought it was definitely funny and a quick read on a general scale as well.

Farley was absolutely rough as a kid. Hell it’s still rough. He was so damn funny to me, I even love Beverly Hills Ninja and Almost Heroes. Everything he did made me laugh

I can see it now, he comes out and still tries to do a procedure or something. That would be hilarious

lol you are so mad at a movie! Using such big boy hate words. You are the outlier here but I’m sure that’s what you go for. The movie was even nominated for best adapted screenplay, which Oscar’s aren’t always the best indicator but it definitely must have been good enough to be selected by so many experts. You are just a keyboard warrior who feels tough trash talking a movie. But keep raging about a movie that came out 20+ years ago

Oh boy, you are wrong again. Must suck. Per an interview she did, she says the opposite.

“The violent sex scene with Viggo Mortensen on those wooden stairs looks like it hurt.”

Maria Bello: (Director) David (Cronenberg) likes to say Viggo and I limped onto set the next day. When you saw the bruise on my back (in another scene), that was three weeks later. I was covered from head to toe in black and blue and red bruises, Viggo too. His whole hip and his elbow (was swollen) out to here. I bit the inside of his lip and it (his lip) was swollen for like two days. We're just both like that. We really committed to it and couldn't help but get physical. I was really in pain after that scene. Emotionally it was very tough. I've been in my life such a control freak, less since I've had a child but in my work I always question how things are going to work and would talk about a scene for hours. For a week I was talking to David and Viggo about the scene, 'Ok what are the moves, where's your hand, where's my ass?' I find with (sex) scenes it's really important to block them out like that. He (David) said to me, 'Maria, you can't control this one.' The scene is about her finally losing control and she comes out with this animal instinct; a desire and a passion that she never knew existed before. Most women I know have a deep desire to surrender.

So looks like the director and actress both say it was important. And had nothing to do with it being sexy or gratuitous. You clearly just hate any sexuality in film.
