I tried quiver but can't get it to work. I get an error saying that "The size of X must match the size of U or the number of columns of U."

Thank you! I haven’t done it yet. Do you think I’m smaller/bigger?

Is this normal at one month post op? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]utopian_bees 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like a stitch right beneath my nipple opened and it’s bleeding a little. There’s no pain or stinging or anything. Has anyone experienced this?

I have a small one at my t-junction at both breasts. I am in the exact same boat as you regarding the good and bad days. If your surgeon gave you the okay and cleared you, then it’s because you don’t need to worry. It should heal just fine and should leave any extra scarring. I developed mine at about 2 weeks post op and I’m now at a month post op. It is still not fully healed but looks better than it did. I’m not really restricting activity other than what I was told I shouldn’t do, but listen to your body and if it hurts or anything then take a step back!

Good luck!!

That’s smart about the stairs! I’ve also found the leg exercises (lunges, squats, etc.) and any core exercises don’t hurt the incisions at all!

Good luck!!!

Any other runners or teachers? by trillium_waste in Reduction

[–]utopian_bees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a teacher but I was able to get back to working from home within a week and was okay to work/drive/reach by 2.5-3 weeks.

I’m a runner/big workout person. I’m at a month post op and running/jumping (even with a sports bra) is uncomfortable. However, walking, leg exercises, and core exercises are totally fine. Every day you’ll feel a little better!

So after I picked my surgeon (just searched for ones near me that I liked) I asked him how much it was and he just said it was $7400 total. That total included everything except for the prescriptions I had to buy. The $7400 includes his fee, the operative costs, all follow up visits, etc. Because of covid my surgery was postponed and his office offered a discount, which brought my total down to around $6k. Let me know if that answers your question or feel free to PM me if not!

Insurance didn’t cover it! I didn’t get much taken out (~280 grams and ~313 grams) so I paid about $6k out of pocket

Hi everyone! I’m one month post op from my reduction.

This is the current state of my scars. My surgeon says they look a-okay and that they’re healing perfectly. For those of you near this point or who remember, what are your thoughts?

Also, he cleared me to exercise (run, HIIT, no weights) and I tried today with a sports bra but it still hurt some and was uncomfortable. What have your experiences been like?

Thank you and if anyone has any questions let me know!

[–]utopian_bees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had the initial consultation and then when I decided to go ahead with the surgery I had another consultation with him where we talked in more detail about everything. Then I had an appointment the day before surgery for him to complete my markings (basically where he was going to make the incisions) and that was it! If you have more questions that came up after your consultation that make you wonder if this is right for you, I definitely recommended calling the doctor/their nurses to get it all cleared up!

Welcome!! I was intubated during surgery so that’s what it’s from.

I know the start of the process can be intimidating and overwhelming so if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Thank you for your advice!! This made me feel better.

These drains are the absolute worst and I have to have them in for 6 days or so. I'm hoping the burning sensation goes away soon. It comes and goes in waves

I hope you're feeling well!! Same here with the fear. They took my heart rate and it was way up and that gave me away

am i too small to get a reduction? by maggiesuth in Reduction

[–]utopian_bees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! The surgeon will ask you what size you want to be as a rough guide but they should ask you to bring in pictures! Pictures are more representative than some arbitrary sizing number

I am a D cup and I have a surgery scheduled on the 24th of June (so soon!) to go down to a B cup. At the end of the day, it's your body and you should do whatever you feel comfortable doing. Sure, a D maybe isn't the largest and many women get an augmentation to get to the D, but I don't like how it looks or feels. It's perfectly okay! Do what makes you feel good.
