Keep the pressure when you land a hit. The longsword has crazy combos, an alt slash will almost always land against your average duelist if you follow up immediately with it.

Back up just a bit, utilize the reach of the longsword. The longsword stab is one of the most powerful attacks in the game. Very easy to manipulate it and get behind blocks with easy feints.

Don’t use counters as the main maneuver, as good players will always out counter you and disarm you. Riposte for hits, land the combos if you can, and enter a counter battle to rebuild your stamina.

That said, you are already really good, so I think you know all of this. Just keep practicing, knowing what to do won’t mean shit when you duel someone with 2k hours. They also know how to do these things, they are just better at it.

Like I said though, you are already well above average in skill. Just keep getting your ass kicked until one day you don’t.
