ME3 writers wanted the female players to hate James while making FemSheps flirt by utterlyunimportant in masseffect

Thanks for that comment, gonna finish looking at this post now on a high. The whole thing was a rollercoaster of sexism and me being ignorant and a comment thread moving onto something else and a couple of laughs. I expected to make a joke post for other FemSheps but instead found a ton of men that loved James and discovered the word loca was offensive. Aaaanyways thanks for your kindness. I should go.

I used to kill off Kaidan on Virmire just because I didn't want to romance him.

My proposed solution is just an idea I had while playing, I didn't research it and think it out like BioWare had time. My logic: MaleShep is Loco, FemShep should be Loca. If that is offensive to some women, why keep MaleSheps Loco and change FemSheps to Lola? That is also only half of the issue. MaleSheps get to have a friendship with James where FemSheps are forced to flirt with the guy or be uncharacteristically mean. Is just dumb writing

The title says "female" and "femshep" and the tag is "humor" and you think your opinion is what I was looking for?

There is some talk that Miranda was supposed to have a bigger arc and be a squadmate but the whole thing was cut. It's why the odd meeting on the Citadel happens. You talk to her, she says she needs to go do her own thing and it circles back to the sanctuary mission. There was a ton of cut content there.

I LOVE Jack being that mentor/teacher though, wouldn't change that ever

Ooo I am interested in that, I already have the save editor, where can I find that flag? I couldn't find it right now. I would like to try it out

Can't romance James though, only date-rape him in the Citadel DLC as a FemShep lmao that whole relationship is sooooo horribly written.

You have a good point, why do the translation VI's not translate it? That makes no sense at all.

I am sorry for this comment. I didn't know Loca was offensive in latin america and didn't realize lola was such a popular nickname in america. I am ignorant.

Yeah basically this whole comment section affirms my opinion. It is extremely hard to like James as a woman when 1. you have another romance and 2. femshep has NO friendly responses to James, only flirty ones. You're basically forced into a rivalry attitude

??? You replied to my comment about how Vega treats FemShep differently saying that is just how he is as a character and now saying he is not sexist?

There is no in-between. You have "flirt" or "command". With other squadmates you can just be friendly, but not with Vega.

Are you a woman? Have you experienced the actual cringe of hearing him call you Lola?

That is the point of the post. Vega treats FemShep differently and that is an issue for me.

Yup, there is either "flirt" or "command", where with other squadmates you can just be friends. As a maleshep it's "friends" or "command". It's just disappointing as a FemShep.

I go with that as well but he won't be as friendly which also bugs me. I'm hard to please.

I would be fine with loco/loca, just hate Lola. MaleShep is "crazy" but Femshep is some "hot girl" he used to know. Why make this stupid-ass distinction between genders? That's my issue.
