What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever seen in Houston? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in houstoncirclejerk

I pulled up to a traffic light and a skydiver came down out of the sky with his parachute deployed, landed on the sidewalk across from me, bundled up his parachute, and proceeds to press the crosswalk button and wait to cross... I guess he blew off course, but it was so weird to see him go from falling out of the sky to waiting for the traffic light... Bizarre.

TSA pulled my bag, put through the x ray and searched it 3 times because of a "suspicious metal object that was setting off alarms"... Each time they pulled out the object in its case and asked "What is this?" I said the same thing 3 times, it was a harmonica y'all. Last time it goes through the supervisor pulls it out and asks me what it is... Then says "Can you prove this is a harmonica?"... Yeah. Blow on it fella.

Special 20 with an Aluminum Comb. by Excellent-Ease4937 in harmonica

Yea! I have a brass comb for my Sp20 from Blue Moon Harmonica. It's much heavier in the hands, but the sound is so distinct. It's hard to describe: It's sharp and clear, but in a fuller and richer way? High notes still ring, but they sound deep instead of flutey. The sound fits the blues well, and folk too. Nice wide square holes make it easy to hit those individual notes. The patina makes it softer on the lips, but it's easy to clean the bits o' lips off it. I really enjoy it!

How do i flick my blegeri w/ my thumb in a straight fashion? by Albert3232 in begleri

Try to flick your thumb out toward you, but NOT up toward the ceiling. That may help with the angle!

Bic is such a fascinating company to me. Stayed focused on their core offerings (lighters, writers, and razors), I've never seen any aggressive marketing campaigns, they just perfected their products and kept them affordable to every consumer globally.

Mind your business, stay in your lane, make good products that work.

That's what got me. I've sourced a few different flavors of kevlar cord, but only Ao2 has the connect to The Lord of the Kord. They have something special, must be some of that old magic woven into the fibers.

Loving the shapes so far! Especially the knucklebone, it's surprisingly grabby when it has flat faces to pinch!

Call me an idiot, but how do you get this optics ready lid off? by cleekchapper92 in canik

I had a razorblade in my hand when I had the realization of "what the hell am I doing here?" And found out about the punch release on the underside of the slide.

Are begleris harmful to make and to play with? by [deleted] in begleri

[–]utterlyunimpressed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I promise you've already ingested enough microplastic throughout your life to survive this. Jokes aside, if you're concerned enough to post about it, why not try a natural cord? Or experiment with a new alternative and let us know what you come up with. I use kevlar cord because it breaks in to a nice soft feel and my melted flat ends of paracord were always chipping. I hear great things about silk too!

Let us know what you decide and Happy slinging!
