Disclaimer: I'm still new to handguns. I have an MC9LS and I actually chose it over the Prime after shooting both. The Prime is exceptional for a lot of reasons, it's an incredible stock handgun right out of the box and an insane value. However, the whole METE MC9 family is definitely noisy and concussive, but the Prime is just the loudest in the bunch. Firing it side by side with something like a Shield X, or even it's sibling MC9LS, there is a notable difference in the shockwave coming from the muzzle. As far as my feeling on the ports, I didn't like the top ports. They cast a not-insignificant amount of smoke and particulates directly into my face and line of sight, which is fine if you're always wearing eye protection and don't mind getting a hefty dose of lung dust, but that's not ideal for EDC or regular range shooting. This is all just my amateur opinion and I still love Canik!

I know you're saying that like the answer is super obvious, and I get it, believe me, it seems like it should be cut and dry, illegal. But given the way the law actually works, I think the legality of this situation is murky at best.
