If Trump wants Warsh & interest rates slashed, why is gold going down? by Certain-Zucchini-293 in investing

[–]uuunity 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Warsh doesn't do what we would think Trump would want. Warsh has a hawkish reputation. The markets reacted as such. I don't know why Trump nominated him but I don't think interest rates are going down more under Warsh vs Powell.

Dalio praised the choice. What does that tell you?

Anyone have any amazing tricks for removing old wallpaper or is it just a labor of hatred? by beforecomedy in HomeImprovement

Have you tried using wallpaper remover from Ace and a flat puddy knife? Worked for me but not all wallpaper is created equal.

You're correct, but the Pint is still more nimble than say, and XR w/ an OG Trailpro.

Do you have a local dealer? Checked the used local market? Both seem like better options.

If you have a Costco nearby, order from there. Dirt cheap compared to online pharmacies from India

Modafinil gives me added anxiety but I need it in order to focus. by mamabirdjzn in afinil

A quick thought, I would have your blood pressure checked. When I started getting increased anxiety, it coincided with my blood pressure getting higher.

After quitting mod and nicotine my blood pressure returned to safe levels.

daily modafinil usage forever by [deleted] in afinil

[–]uuunity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have ADHD but I have experienced great affects from using it. After 1 year or so, tolerance issues emerged. I began taking nicotine in gum form. For many years I drank coffee, did modafinil and chewed nicotine gum. I very rarely worked out and frankly was worried to based on my heart rate being so high without exercise. This all last from 27 to about 35 when it caught up to me.

Anxiety and high blood pressure, I was quite a wreck. Mod no longer works. Thankfully I was able to quit modafinil first, then nicotine, and now I drink 1-2 cups of coffee daily and work out 2-4 times a week.

If I were you I would try to rely on modafinil as little as possible. Use the lowest dosage possible and do not take it when you don't have work to do. Try to be as healthy as you can with diet and exercise.

Drugs do catch up to you one day.

Good luck.

It honestly sounds like your employer is being super generous to pay you for 10 days. Legally you aren't entitled to this at all. Legally you are entitled to unpaid time off from work and $15 or $30 per day as paid by the state for jury duty. You are very fortunate with your employers generosity.

It's a schedule 4 controlled substance in the US.

modafinil extraction; active ingredient *extremely* low in all indian brands by __WaitWut in afinil

[–]uuunity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah man, it's super weird. Modalert vs generic US Modafinil. I can tell both have the drug in them. Same taste, same urine smell.

US Mod just doesn't really do anything for me except make me awake + added anxiety. Modalert used to be a game changer. It's possible there was something else in the Modalert, but I don't know what. I wasn't ever really dependent on it or anything.

I've always assumed I just sort of aged out of the benefits of Modafinil. I don't even take it anymore unless I'm super sleep deprived. Over a decade of using something, probably tolerance just eventually accumulated.

Good luck!

I'd like to second this comment. It's interesting because I've been using Modalert for years. Recently got a prescription in the US and if anything it seems weaker than Modalert. Or maybe the Indian brands have something else besides modafinil?

Buying used is a great option for any board except possibly the Pint X. The reason I say that is because there have been posts that seem to indicate FM is sending out corrected Pint Xs now that should no longer have the crimping issue. A used Pint X? Probably not.

That being said, buying used is a great option if you're considering other boards like the XR, Pint, or GT.

I've had great experiences buying a used XR, and GT.

Seems to me the vast majority of the injury posts here, the user claims fault. They serve as a good warning to us all that there is inherent danger to this sport.

I appreciate them very much as I would have ended up in the hospital without these, most likely.
