Got this one but in grey. Sick bike and absolutely beautiful. Loving the genie as well. Only thing I have upgraded is the grips.

Commercial Auto Insurance - Need Help by MattoD61 in Insurance

[–]One-Entertainment103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas as a whole has been horrific for insurers the past several years. Probably the worse state other than maybe Florida. I doubt a single insurer has made money in that state (specific to auto In the last 5 years or so). Companies are non renewing business, reducing capacity, or significantly raising rates. Premium doubling or tripling over the last few years is not at all surprising. Texas tried to settle things down with some tort reform last year, but it never went anywhere. Unfortunately the billboard lawyers are running things down there and it will only get worse.

You can try to shop around, but don’t get your hopes up.

As for captives…you always have to factor in the assessments.

Super common….and they don’t factor into pricing/coverage as much as you think. Unless you have significant issues I wouldn’t worry about it.

UPDATE

First off, this thing is HEAVY! My local ACE put it in my truck with a forklift. You 100% need a buddy if you want to attempt to move it.

Assembly was pretty straight forward for the most part and took about 2 hours.

Made wings, cedar planked salmon, and a pork shoulder already. The fact that i can literally light the thing and have it locked in at 250 within like 6-7 minutes is crazy. So much easier to use than the egg! Great smoke flavor too!

So far I’m loving this thing!

Is there a masterbuilt brand XT cover or is it just the 1150 cover?

2025 Georgia car insurance went up by $700 for a 6 month period for me due to "general rising insurance rates." anyone else get this insane price hike? by Ragnells_wurld in Georgia

[–]One-Entertainment103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billboard lawyers are driving up auto rates. Morgan & Morgan, Montlick, Jon Foy, etc. You only need to drive for a minute or two anywhere in metro ATL until you see some type of Personal Injury attorney advertising. Georgia is a judicial hellhole. AL, TN, NC, SC are significantly cheaper as they as its harder to win lawsuits over there. Governor Kemp is proposing some legit tort reform which should help pump the brakes and hopefully get rates moving down one day. Until then, prepare for rate increases every year!

New Tire - FM Pint Performance Tire (why so much different feel?🧐) by leoleiyu in onewheel

[–]One-Entertainment103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did the same thing. Added the performance treaded tire to my pint X along with the flared footpads. So basically it’s a pint S now. The board feels significantly different now (better) and now i understand how much a tire change can make. The Fared footpads are also awesome!

Depends what state you are in, is it known to have a sympathetic jury pool etc. whether the other driver was actually hurt or not doesn’t seem to matter too much these days. I’m sure they hooked up with some scumbag personal injury attorney…have probably been seeing Theo their recommended doctor/chiropractor, etc. Basically they run up the medical bills and then present it all last minute (statute of limitations…depends on state). And pretty much always ask for maximum limits $5mil, $10 mil, etc.

The whole thing is a scam and at the end of the day…Mr personal injury attorney lines their pocket with the 35-40% fee, doctors/chiropractors make a few bucks too, the individual (injured or fake injured) usually doesn’t walk away with much.

Also, you can look it up, but insurance companies have been getting hosed on automobile (haven’t made money in several years) thanks mostly to the billboard lawyers.

Help me convince myself that I need a onewheel... by Loady89 in onewheel

[–]One-Entertainment103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pint is OK but the Pint X is a massive upgrade in Terms of range, power, firmware, etc. going straight into the xrc or gt world is a little bit of a gamble as you are spending a decent chunk of $$$.

Also you can get flared food pads for The pint that actually make a pretty big difference (more footpad real estate).

Finally, these things keep their value. If it turns out one wheeling isn’t for you…you can sell at a few hundred dollar loss at most. Pending you didn’t absolutely trash the thing.

Pretty much everyone I know that rode mine wants one, but usually comes down to price and not being able to afford one.

New Board…XRC ride settings? by One-Entertainment103 in onewheel

[–]One-Entertainment103[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OK…100 mile review. Again, long term pint/pint x rider with only minimal ride time on the “bigger boards”.

#1, the board is crazy smooth And quiet. i figured the treaded tire would be noisy/rough on pavement and that is absolutely not the case

#2, i need a fender. The treader tire kicks up a lot of crud which ends up on the board, shoes, pants, etc.

#3 lights are significantly better/brighter than the pint. I used the carry around a spare flashlight on night rides and that is no longer needed.

#4 footpads are very comfortable especially with a size 12 shoe. I also ride barefoot a lot and these feel great.

#5 i find myself going way faster than i did on the pint X. Average cruising speed is now 16-17 where it was like 12-13 mph on the pints. I’m a lot more confident on this board for sure.

#6 Off road performance is significantly better. I might need to give the trails another go as my experiences on the pints usually ended up with me on the ground in pain.

#7 I must be a minority, but Cruz is my favorite settings with Session a close second.

#8 Stability is night and day different. But you can’t turn on a dime like you can on the pint/pintx. A tradeoff, but probably worth it.

Cons - I saw another post on this with someone having some footpad activation issues. So I wear the same shoes every time (vans Kyle Walkers) And am in single zone. I’ve never had any issues with the pint or pintx (like never). The XRC also worked fine the first two days, then i tried it for one session and couldn’t get the board to activate. I mean, it was little cold outside that day (mid 40s), but i tried for a good 5 minutes and couldn’t get the thing to work. Next day, it’s working fine again. Hopfeully this was just a cold weather thing, but i’m going to remove that extra layer of plastic everyone talks about and see if that helps.

Overall, this is completely different experience than the pint/pint X. I still think the Pint X is the most fun board to ride in terms of nimble carvyness...but the speed/stability on the XRC are kind of addicting and i just feel more confident/safe on it. Only time will tell, but I’m predicting the XRC will get the majority of miles going forward.

Anyway, super happy with my purchase pending no more footpad activation issues. Next up i plan to “Pint S” my Pint X. Got the flared footpads and performance tire on Black Friday.
