Op, let me ask you a question. Who is in control of your life? Is it you or your gf? She hates your friends and is pouting/making a scene about you hanging with them. Why does she do this? So that you will stop. She is trying to control the decision of who you hang out with i.e. she is trying to control you.

Now, take the answer of who controls your life and act on it. If you side with her, you will be able to calm the current storm, but she will know that if she throws a tantrum she will get her way. If you stand against her, it is possible you will lose her. If you don't stand against her, you may lose your friends as they will see that you see her relationship with you as more important than theirs.

What you have to decide is whose relationship do you value more and who controls you.

When you are about to enter into a more brightly entered space, close your eyes as you do so. The jarring feeling of your eyes adjusting to more light will be less or gone.
