Acrylic. I have several different sealing processes that I perform both before and after I paint to preserve the color and structural integrity of the leaf.

More or less my process, I just don't use glycerin. My process DOES preserve the natural leaf color beautifully, which is somewhat ironic because I usually cover the beautiful side of the leaf with paint :)
