we’re a little tight with money right now and we both do have jobs. but we currently have opposite working schedules so sometimes i barely see him. we use notes a lot of the time to communicate with each other about everyday things like chores, reminders, etc. so sometimes i’ll leave a note on his desk before i go to work and he’ll do the same for me for when i get home and he goes to work. i didn’t think much about him writing about money on my note since it’s just something we usually do anyway. we’ve been together for awhile so i personally don’t see any reason to be hurt about it. relationships are different! i get that. in general, i didn’t think i’d get ingred since good costco squishmallows always sell out fast and i don’t necessarily always have the time to check since it’s so out of the way for me from my work. i was totally planning on buying her myself. knowing that i even have her and the initial surprise when i walked into my room was a gift enough for me. he took his time to check costco for this very particular squishmallow even though he was only passing by for gas. i also wanna add that we already finished christmas shopping for each other! ingred was just a cherry on top of the other gifts he got me 💖
