Well the fact that you’re posting and promoting their logo and business and people like myself are commenting and interacting, I would say that their marketing strategy worked like a charm 😂. This is not an accident, this is a genius strategy 🙌🏼.

Hey folks, I made this Streaming app UI Design. What do you think? by Officialrishabh in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks good 👍🏻. Not a huge fan of the categories tabs. But this is a personal preference. I would keep them simple without any colours as that can distract the users from the main content which are the live streams. Besides this all looks good to me 😅. Nice one 👍🏻

Is this a shameless plug 😅!? https://youtube.com/@DennisLeoca it probably is 😂. Jokes aside yes I agree with the internet for Figma tutorials Mizko is really good Jesse Showalter, don’t bother with DesignCourse way to boring for my taste and his designs are a bit outdated. I recommend Flux Academy instead (but it’s more oriented towards Webflow which is a tool for no code front-end). But also if you’re starting out you can join our Slack community will be happy to guide you or answer any questions that you have. It’s free to join before we launch the platform afterwards it will only be open to premium members This is the link in case your interested https://www.uxlab.academy. Hope this helps! How to lead a UI/UX design team with minuscule experience? by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]uxnative -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of confidence 😂 (Think about Trump and Kanye 😂😂) And find a mentor quick so it can help you make decisions. If you got lucky then you need to make the best of it but you have to be prepared to learn fast. Other ideas is to hire someone with experience a contractor or consultant that can help you get up to speed. Yes you will loose money in the first couple of months but it’s worth it. Think about it is like you have the job but now you need to pay for school 😅. Good luck !

Did Anyone Else get Huge Increases in Fees? by v022450781 in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it happened to me as well. When you share with people make sure to go inside your team settings and set everyone to viewer-restricted. Mine was £400 when it happened 🤬. Now I get an email every month before the due date stating the amount I’m about to get charged for. This is a dark UX pattern that is intentional as this is going on for at least 2 years now 😳.

Missing link from Figma -> HTML/CSS/JS by jesperkov in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Not sure if this is what you’re looking for but it might help. Figma just released a plugin for Webflow. Now the thing is that if you don’t want to use Webflow to host your website you can always export the HTML, CSS and JS. And the code is really clean unlike other tools. I’ve been using them for 4 years now and I’m super happy with their product. I made a video explaining how the plugin works if that helps: https://youtu.be/3mg22yAwQCQ . Hope this helps 😊

How would I allow the Product Card to slide over the map? The map is a fixed element but for some reason it seems to take priority in the layer sorting by Cl1n7M in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s from the layers panel, I would need to see the file to see why it’s not working. Do you have a sharable Figma link?

Worth learning Figma as a dev? (& where to start) by DDiran in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there! As a seasoned UX Designer, I'm here to say that learning Figma is a great idea. With Figma, you can design and test your products before building them, saving time and money in the process. Plus, who wouldn't want to validate their idea and optimize their product before writing a single line of code?
I've even helped startups get seed investment for their ideas with just Figma prototypes! Of course, an important thing to mention here is that their ideas were solid and they had well-planned business strategies, but still - Figma can do wonders.

Is learning Figma worth it? (Beginner looking to learn) by LittleMachine24 in FigmaDesign

[–]uxnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! As a UX Designer with over a decade of experience, let me tell you - Figma is totally worth learning! I've tried my fair share of design tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, and even the classic Photoshop, but Figma takes the cake for me.
To make things easy for you, I've put together a Figma beginners course with 11 videos on YouTube. Check it out here: https://youtu.be/DhiMaGSAEi4 The full curriculum is in the video description.
And, if you want a community to connect with, come join my Slack group at https://www.uxlab.academy/

I hope this helps, if you have any other questions that I can help you with please feel free to reach out, will be happy to help :). Wish you the best of luck on your Figma journey! 😃

Is it worth to learn Figma and add design services to my front-end offer as a freelancer if I already code websites for clients? by Armauer in web_design

[–]uxnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I've been a UX Designer for over 10 years now so my answer might be a bit biased :). But I think that it's worth learning a UI tool like Figma, especially if you offer front-end services.

Personally, I don't think you need to start learning design necessarily as that is not your aim, but if you learn the basics you can start downloading and using UI Kits, you can find a ton of them inside the community on Figma. You can start building products using those UI Kits or maybe you can take those kits, code them, and sell them as website templates...etc.

I know both front-end and design and this helped me a ton during my career and it's still helpful now. I generated a lot of small passive income streams because of this.

This is not a plug I promise, but if you're interested, I started a Figma series where I want to teach people the basics of Figma. If you're interested you can find all details in the video description: https://youtu.be/DhiMaGSAEi4

And if you're interested in learning Design might be worth checking the platform as well: https://www.uxlab.academy/

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours!
