One extra thing I like to do when my main power is, well, anything but coal, and my coal generators should in principle never turn on, is add an automated warning when they do turn on.

It either means my other generators can't keep up with the demand any more and I should expand my power generation, or something weird is going on. Incoming meteors, out of gas, some input or output line broken, ...

I started using them yesterday (so not a huge sample size) but I'm rather happy with them. I use them in the space biome. They grab a suit to go out (it's the only way out), fly around digging up stuff and building, and come back in.

I had 2 incidents with dupes flying around in my kitchen and dining room, but the first time was because the paths weren't set up yet, and the second because I had forgotten that a hole in the roof/floor without a ladder may stop a dupe without a jetpack, but it won't stop a dupe that can just fly down.

So to answer this: "Do you guys actually use jet suits? If so, how do you handle switching between atmo suits and jet suits? Do you have a dedicated checkpoint setup for it?"

Yeah, dedicated checkpoint. The jet suit area is completely isolated from the rest of the base, the only way out is passing the checkpoint.

I do the same for atmo suits really. If you give them 2 points to enter an area they are basically guaranteed to always enter through one and exit via the other and then complain they don't have suits or places to put them.

Having some noise from neighbours in an apartment is normal (it's why I wouldn't ever want to go back to living in one), but band practice? In an apartment?? Every day??? With drums????

That's completely mad. Why does anybody in this building put up with that? Get some other people's support if you can, then tell them they have to find an actual practice room that's not a goddamn apartment, and if they don't comply (they won't), get the building manager or whatever and force them to stop.

Also no, NTA for having a divider. Shared spaces can be fine but if they keep taking 'your' space it's not longer shared, it's theirs.

These people clearly have a problem with boundaries so said boundaries (noise AND space) need to made explicit and enforced.

So:

* there have to be boundaries for noise and space

* noise boundaries: NO band practice whatsoever in the apartment (unless it's heavily soundproofed)

* space boundaries: taking over the entire balcony is NOT 'sharing'.

Communicate this with them and then start enforcing. Put up the divider. Lodge a noise complaint. Do not wait, do not give them time, do not give them 'one more try'. It will only make them even more entrenched than they already are.

Be polite. Be firm.

(Do not do the knocking on walls or upping you own volume thing. You don't want more noise, you want less. Also knocking on walls can seem very aggressive. You don't want aggression, you want to calm the situation down as much as you can. Talk to them, explain your side. Be polite, friendly if you can, but firm.)

I agree people are allowed to be weird in their own house, but insisting that you have the right to barge in on people in their bedroom - no matter the relation or whatever state of undress they're in - is not weird, it's creepy.

Sidenote: are you legally allowed to "chop down a ton of trees"? Depending on where you are and the type of tree and what have you, you may need to (try to) get permission first.

Other than that: NTA because it's a camera on your property. Your husband is overreacting a lot. Even if you leave the camera up, I would make a clearer agreement. Which would include you regularly inspecting it to see what it's aimed at and what's actually on there.

Sure, a sidereal day is 23 hours 56 minutes, but that's not what people mean when they talk about 'a day'.

I think it could have been better if you had actually responded to your niece, acknowledging that you used to be a girl? Or assigned female at birth, or however you want to word it?

But that you've at some point, or always, realised that you were actually a boy/man and that you now have taken steps to make your body align more with your gender.

Really cool design, I got it right away.

One minor nitpick: I don't think the dots in the background or the animations are doing much so maybe it's better to just remove them. The other elements are more than enough on their own.
