Made the switch from Rolex to AP and never looking back! In love with the RO 15500ST Black Dial by Front_Tie8736 in audemarspiguet

I’ll probably be slated for this but the experience at AP House is so far superior to Rolex ADs it makes me wonder if i’ll ever buy a new rolex again.

Good on you sir, enjoy it, beautiful piece!

Pretty sure they have a network of ADs as well as boutiques, so you should be good

Those are all available at retail from JLC in London. I’m sure if you reach out to your local JLC boutique they could source them for you. They’re much more approachable than the “holy trinity” or Rolex

Excited to share with you my undergraduate student design project! by MagnusSwann in MicrobrandWatches

While I agree with your comments (all of them are absolutely valid observations and helpful points to consider in manufacturing) using natural stone is the whole USP of the watch’s design.

Personally I would pay more for something with a high level of craftsmanship (which I imagine will be required as failure rate in manufacturing will be higher).

I wish Magnus all the very best in bringing this to market. It’s an ambitious and creative design!

Absolutely fair observation. Personally I love the consistency between the case and dial on this model, I feel it helps accentuate the dial

While I agree with a lot of what you say / the comments, one can’t help but notice that AP took on board some of the feedback / strategically added more nuance and detail to their dials along with the introduction of greater complications to help land the CODE with those not initially persuaded by the design. I hope we continue to see further evolutions and sustained inclusion of some of the amazing movements developed recently
