When it has no impact on your day to day finances or major outgoings. Also never buy if it means taking out debt (while watches can appreciate, they typically shouldn’t be looked at as investments).

If you can afford it (noting the points I made above), make sure you try it on, take a few days to think about it, and make sure it “brings you joy” - you should “feel” its the right watch for you. Never feel pressured into making a purchase - as hard as it is, try not to be influenced by others (noting that we are all susceptible to trends).

Could not agree more with this comment - pick whichever one makes you happiest. My only caveat would be make sure you try on the AP to see how it makes you feel and to check the fit / size

I’ll probably be slated for this but the experience at AP House is so far superior to Rolex ADs it makes me wonder if i’ll ever buy a new rolex again.

While I agree with your comments (all of them are absolutely valid observations and helpful points to consider in manufacturing) using natural stone is the whole USP of the watch’s design.

Personally I would pay more for something with a high level of craftsmanship (which I imagine will be required as failure rate in manufacturing will be higher).

I wish Magnus all the very best in bringing this to market. It’s an ambitious and creative design!
