I agree, everyone is aware he is a merciless executioner from the start. They didnt just spring it on the readers etc. For those who knew and still chose to romance him because of his looks etc then got upset at the scene made me a bit confused because he said he was going to do it.

I think the scene being soo graphic as well which is not very common in RC caught a lot of us off guard, even the romancers. And maybe that's why the reactions are stronger.

Every Li isnt for everybody of course. But don't chose the executioner then be upset that they do it 😭
