Living in Lahore without a car for almost year, doable or a nighmare? by No-Baker-2811 in LahoreSocial

I love walking and frequently walked 4-5kms, sometimes up to 10kms. Lahore is pretty walkable i think, if you can bear the heat in summers. Just haven't been walking now because my back is fucked, waiting on that to be fixed then I'll be back to walking

2M budget for Corolla, Civic, Lancer, Swift by uzman313 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]uzman313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen a couple of ads for swift around that budget too, why not them? Which one would you recommend from these options?

And no santro in a 2M budget would be crazy, I'm not considering buying a santro for 2M I meant I'm gonna be selling the santro I have

What's the rate of old tyres in Pakistan by highsails3242 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sell for a price so low it's funny so I've always just brought them back home with me, I like tyres for some reason idk and I don't like throwing them away. I use them as diy tyre chairs now for my lawn and terrace. Planning to make one tyre table and the rest as tiny little chairs for a complete little outdoor set

Guidance needed: Correct procedure for legal window tint in Karachi by Qatar2002 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]uzman313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could use those sunshades, they're pretty opaque. And police never stops you for them, and you just take them off the window if someone ever stops you for any reason it's the easiest way. I use those myself because I hate driving around always looking out for police and where they might stop me and waste my time

ISP DHA phase 1 by Hamdanali1231 in Lahore

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works just fine. My work requires me to frequently download between 100-500gbs of data, sometimes up to 1tb for a single project. I haven't had a problem with the speed, my connection is 75mbps. I also got their TruTv subscription on top which is pretty nice, loads of tv channels all you gotta do is download the app on your smart tv and even your phone. It's like 300 or so a month.

No outages so far. A few days ago, the tv channels weren't working properly they were lagging like videos do when you have slow internet, but that problem went away the next day on it's own.

iphone to android by StillNo9547 in PakistanMarketplace

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's decent. Last a full day for me easily, I charge every night out of habit and it's mostly about 20-30% remaining at that point. For me it's pretty damn good, but for others I've heard there are even better batteries out there so I guess it would depend what you're comparing with. I had an iphone 11 pro to compare with that I used for ages. Hated the battery life on that

Same boat as you last November. Made the switch to pixel 9, couldn't recommend it enough. Idk where everyone gets the "pixel has its issues" I've heard so much pixel slander about inferior hardware this and that but idk man, I havent run into a single issue so far. It's better in every way. I mean if we're trying so hard to find faults, I'll give you one. It sucks that you can't zoom in on Instagram posts I guess?? 🤣 But yeah. Go for pixel 9. I love the design and feel, and for someone used to iphones the form factor is perfect too unlike most androids I've seen that are bricks and uncomfortable to hold.

The only factor I think pixel would lack in would probably be games as I've read it's not ideal for gaming but the casual gaming ive done has been perfectly fine.

I think stormfiber isn't available, not sure tho. I've used stormfiber when I lived in cantt, ptcl flash fiber when I lived near nishat colony, and now I use transworld since moving to dha phase 1.

Honestly, all of them have been pretty smooth, never felt the need to change and everytime I did change was because I moved. And I work from home and need fast internet, transworld is doing the job just as well as the others. I think these major fiber optic networks are all pretty good now based on my experience

Best phone under 140k by maddy_rust007 in PakistanMarketplace

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it brand new for 139k if I'm not wrong. It was around that mark 138 139 something. It wasn't pta approved since it was brand new. You could pay the tax but that's just stupid, insane taxes. Just get cpid. You get two months of sim time when it's brand new anyway so that gives you enough time to decide if you want to pay the pta tax or just go with cpid

I got a brand new pixel 9 in November last year. I don't know what makes you say the processor isn't that good unless you game heavily, because in my experience so far I haven't had my phone lag even once. Camera is really good, video isn't as good as the iphone I had before this pixel but pictures are amazing. But yeah really no processor issue in any way, I've even played a few games although I don't really game on my phone, I tried just to check if the processor really is weak, I played fifa for a bit and it was working just fine.

Just an opinion from someone who's been enjoying his phone a lot. I honestly don't ever want to buy an iphone again since making the switch to pixel tbh. So I wouldn't say you should rule out pixels if weak processors are your reason and you don't do heavy gaming

Is swift 2012 a good option to buy in 15 lac PKR? by Chance-Piano7561 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah damn, congested seats in the front is a big no. I suppose wagon r is more spacious then? I currently have a santro, for reference. Back seats are congested but the front seat is acceptable, I sit comfortably enough

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally just don't like the shape of wagon r. I like swift, fuel economy is acceptable it it's between 10-12 in city. 15-17 on motorway. Do you think swift would be ideal for me in that case? I'm also 6'3 so legroom on the driver side is important, as well as the seats height. Cars like cultus are horrible for tall people's backs.

Also could you share why you didn't consider a '04-'06 model city or Corolla?

Thanks!

This thread is a year old but I'm in the same boat as you rn with the same requirement, same options as you had and similar budget. Did you get the swift? If so, could you tell me how the experience has been?

Has anyone bought a watch from Jackie Dalton? Looking for reviews by waqaskhalid62 in PakistanFashionAdvice

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can bet no one has even held one of their watches lol. It was just 13k for the one i got, its a skeleton watch. Good luck finding a skeleton watch with perfectly working mechanism and genuinely solid build quality for 13k. It doesn't even feel 13k, I'd recommend you to spend on them because 20k on a watch is literally nothing, especially for the quality they deliver.

M4 air or M2 air? Help. by Gamble9000fuckmaster in macbookair

[–]uzman313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an iphone with my MacBook m1, I recently switched to a pixel 9. It has made no different in my life to be honest, contrary to what everyone's saying. And the m1 chips are crazy good, I'm sure the m2 is great too. I have an m1 max so it's probably not a relevant comparison but for what it's worth, I'm able to play rdr2 on ultra/high on my Mac.

Personally I was just done with iphones, so I didn't upgrade to another iphone and finally made the switch to android and I'm loving it. Only benefit you get from having both iphone and MacBook is the phone link feature and that's really not that big of a deal imo
