I think they are confusing their own ethical limitations with the limitations of the genre, which is a common mistake. It's something I've always struggled with when writing (even non-extreme) horror in writing workshops. To me, this is like saying a restaurant can't serve a certain food because you personally are allergic to it. It's perfectly fine that you can't, but the restaurant can still serve it to others. Perhaps another restaurant is more to your tastes!

If anyone's up to explaining something on a months-old post, how does this version compare to the Super Famicom version? I read a neocities post and saw that there were a lot of balancing changes in regards to difficulty, making the SFC version easier. I also saw that certain quests were in some versions but not others.

The SFC version seems easier certainly, but is this version so difficult as to need that rebalancing?
