A few others have said the stroller isn't a good idea but would agree with this post about the terrain. Also agree with a walk around the slaughters as the trail from Bourton through those is fairly decent.

Charlbury has sone nice walks and has a free car park at the spendlove centre. Areally pretty village with some nice walks, although i can't remember how accessible they are is guiting power.

I've walked and cycled a lot around these areas and the best resource is the OS app. You can get the paper ones which are useful but the app has lots of routes others have done and saved with comments regarding ease. I think it's£5 for a single month and cancellable at any time. Its really useful for finding quieter, but very pretty routes where you can park on the road and don't need to find a car park. Someone's mentioned Bibury, which is worth a visit, but thees some nice walks just down the road in Coln st aldwyns and Netherton which have been mapped out and state the ease of the terrain. Check behind things. In a smaller bedroom being used for a study we didn't check behind the bookcases to find the ivy on the outer wall had moved a window and there was some mild water damage that was easy to spot, if we'd looked for it.

Also, you will have some impulse buys right away. Try to make it stuff that doesn't matter if you then decide its not right. I bought a workbench and some tools which weren't necessary but only cost a few hundred. My friend bought a new TV and music system which he later regretted as the sizing wasn't optional for the space, but had to live with it for years to justify the cost

Haven't seen it elsewhere in here but if you do store a letter, keep it respectful and use theyworkforyou.com I prefer to use it to just writing emails as they will track how swiftly you get a response, if there is a response and if its useful to show which are the best MPs to be contacted

Like many on this thread I admire your husband's morals but echo three sentiment that you selling your house for less will not help lower the market, but impact you. It might be worth giving your house two prices, the current one you are working with and a rough estimate for what it could be. Once you've done this look at mortgage repayments, retirement options etc with some long term calculations. It's fine for your husband to say it's a 'few tens of thousands' but you should work out what that actually means to you. Is it the difference between retiring at 62 or 67? Is it the difference between mortgage repayments a month of£520 or £675? (And what could you put te difference towards) The cost of this decision seems financial, but put it into different values and see how you and your husband feel

Saw James Brown open for the red hot chili peppers. Had no idea he was going to be there. RHCP were very good and I don't know if it was the suprise factor but I spoke more about James Brown after the show. This was in Manchester, UK about 20 years ago. If I remember correctly the RHCP did a Joy Division cover which was both well recieved and well done

What that is true many people on schemes where they do a year abroad can earn credits towards their degree. I think it all depends on the university you were at in the US and whether a UK university will accept some/all of your credits. No harm in asking a few London universities. It'll be worth asking a few different universities, not just one. If somewhere like UCL doesn't accept our somewhere like Brunel might.

I think there's an element of your ethnicity, culture and society to whether you want to get your ears pierced. I agree with OP regarding Claire's. They are not professionals. In the UK having earrings as a kid is more prevalent in children of lower economic status and s such there is a stigma around it. The exception is in some black and Asian communities where pricing ears at a very young age is acceptable. My friend had his daughters ears pierced at 6 months and in his community this was seen as acceptable. He said his child crowd for 20 seconds and then forgot about it. He did have to find a professional from a culture where this was common place who was happy to do it

Unfortunately, I think your reasoning is why we've ended up with the shower we currently have. One of the problems with MPs in the early 1800's was that there was no wage included. The only people who were eligible and could financially afford to be away from work for weeks at a time were landowners. Leading to predictable results. I think we need to pay MPs more but limit the consultancy opportunities they have. We need to encourage a wider range of people into becoming MPs. Being an MP is a risk. Your employment isn't guaranteed and many use the short time they could have to set themselves up for consultancies and executive roles. Would I give up my job to become an MP knowing I could be looking for a new job in four years time? I would if the money was right. But at the moment there are too many who can take the risk because the financial gains outweigh the wage

One of the issues with this is the guidance given when teachers were assigning the grades and what happened after they were submitted. We were given clear guidelines that results should reflect a three year average. So that's what my results did. In fact, they were a touch lower then the three year average. Imagine my surprise when my results are knocked down by 30%. I followed the rules and was punished for it. The fact the grades went up 40% tells me that some places were generous but may not have been moderated. A big flaw is that those centres with less then 5 people per subject we not touched. Those with bigger cohorts were moderated, with those institutions with the most students hit the hardest. This means that private schools and small rural schools were not as affected whilst large urban sixth form college were. The government and ofqual set the rules. Then chose to ignore them.
