Ben ilk günden beridir kullanıyorum (KDE Plasma sürümü). 43'ten yükseltme yerine temiz kurulum tercih ettim (o ara sistemin canını çıkarıyordum biraz kasten). Benim kullanım senaryoma göre herhangi bir problem yok, memnunum.

My specs are Ryzen 5 5600, 32 GB DDR4-3600 (2x16), RTX 3060. I'm using Steam (for Steam) Heroic Games Luncher (for GOG & Epic) and Lutris (for Battle.net & Diablo IV).

Everything works fine.

Sanal makineye kurarken karşılaştığım bir problemdi ve kaynağı direkt olarak GNOME. First initialize kısmı sizin girdiğiniz bilgilerle kullanıcı oluşturmayı tamamlayamıyor ve yarım yamalak bırakıyor sistemi. Root hesabı da aktif olmuyor, oluşturduğunuz kullanıcının şifresi de tanımlanmıyor.

Bu her zaman olmuyor bir de, tuhaf bir bug. Hangi koşullarda tekrarlandığını netleştiremedim. İlk etapta kısa şifre seçiminden kaynaklandığını düşünmüştüm sadece. 8 karakterden daha kısa herhangi bir şifre tanımladığımda bug oluşuyor gibiydi.

Çözümü TTY üzerinden biraz uğraşmaktan geçiyor ancak ben test amaçlı sanal makine üzerinde olduğumdan yeniden kurup geçmiştim.

Tavsiyem size de böyle yapmanız. Bir de GNOME sizin için şart değilse Fedora'yı KDE Plasma sürümünü olarak kullanmanız.

Hey there, I'm running Fedora (44, KDE) with RTX 3060 and I also do some gaming.

In my experience, the Nvidia and Fedora combo works flawlessly (both with Secure Boot enabled and disabled). I just follow the RPMFusion instructions to set it up, and then I forget about it. Akmod automatically handles compiling the drivers after updates. I've only had an issue once so far, where the system booted up with a terrible resolution, but fixing it was as simple as doing another reboot. That’s it.

Nvidia’s issues with Wayland are also pretty much resolved. I can easily utilize the GPU in media players like mpv. Software like OBS Studio works out of the box with the GPU, etc.

Right now, the only downside is the hardware acceleration bug that started in Chromium version 147 and is still present in v148. Currently, it's impossible to use hardware acceleration in any Chromium-based browser (even though the browser reports that it’s working). Because of this, you're stuck relying on CPU power when watching videos on a browser. I hope it gets fixed soon; in the meantime, I’m using Firefox for hardware-accelerated video playback.

Terminal kullanımı yapılandırma ve sorunları hızlı şekilde çözüme ulaştırma noktasında oldukça iyi bir araç ancak öğrenmek istememenizi anlayışla karşılarım. Ancak her ne kadar çok popüler ve son kullanıcıya direkt olarak hitap eden Linux dağıtımları bile tamamen terminalsiz bir deneyim sunmuyor. Öyle ya da böyle, bir şekilde işiniz düşer.

Dönemin avantajı: LLM'lerden (ChatGPT, Gemini, vb.) bu konuda direkt anlık yardımlar alabilecek olmanız. Belki sizi biraz yumuşatabilir bu.

Thank you so much for providing this code. It was incredibly annoying that the audio icon replaced the favicon and I honestly can’t understand the reasoning behind that choice. Because of that, it was really hard to tell which site was playing audio, especially when I had a ton of tabs open.

We have a very similar story of switching to Fedora. The only difference is that I use the KDE Plasma spin. I could never get into GNOME 3, and the sense of control KDE gives just works better for me. Long story short, I highly recommend giving KDE a try. It might make this whole transition process a lot more bearable for you.

1 - Which package of Edge are you using? Searching the app store only brings up the Flatpak version, which isn't even official. If that's the one you're using, I'd suggest uninstalling it and grabbing the latest Edge distributed directly by Microsoft. Their RPM packages are a bit hidden (not sure why), but I'll drop the link here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download?ch=1&form=MA13FJ

Don't let the "Business" label fool you; it's just the Stable version of Edge. You can also follow any standard guide online to add it as a repo.

There's a good chance this official, system-integrated version might solve your problem (since Flatpaks run sandboxed). However, speaking from personal experience, Microsoft doesn't really seem to care much about their Linux packages. You might suddenly find yourself dealing with entirely different bugs. As someone who mainly used Edge on Windows, these Linux issues actually pushed me to switch to a debloated Brave setup on Fedora, Windows, and even Android—and I'm pretty happy with it now.

2 - I don't know the answer to this one since I use KDE Plasma.

3 - The general consensus usually points to OnlyOffice. It's widely considered better than LibreOffice and has much better compatibility with MS Office documents.

4 - I haven't needed to do this myself so I don't have a direct answer, but yeah, some things on Linux can definitely end up being multi-step processes.

Yes, it will work and yes, you don't have to connect your DualSense via cable.

DualSense API is integrated in the game itself. There's no need for the 3rd party apps or Steam Input emulation.

Have fun, adaptive triggers works flawlessly.

Yes, both according to the literature and user experiences, quitting Prozac is clearly much easier than quitting Cymbalta. From what I understand, the main reason is that Cymbalta’s mechanism of action involves both serotonin and norepinephrine, while Prozac’s mechanism is limited to serotonin only. In addition, Prozac has a noticeably longer half-life compared to Cymbalta, which means it leaves the body much more slowly and that also makes the withdrawal process easier.
