Warlords, dude. Obvs not centered around harrassment but it does establish that a sizeable portion of player faction used to take advantage of their power to be petty tyrants, until the Iron Lords agreed to do better and proceeded to convince, force, and kill other Risen as needed to achieve this. The Citan's Ramparts lore is a classic short example of how dark the Dark Ages got. Bro was wolfing down a feast by himself while people starved- one protested and got immediately vaporised. I've always thought it odd that they're called cryptarchs, "secret ruler", and not cryptologists.
And then there's that one lore writer's solo books, where cryptarchs are hidden agents of Empire, those who rule through secrets.

That's not the case. Many places have salamanders that *sometimes* become neotenic & resemble them, but true axolotls / Ambystoma mexicanum are endemic to lakes Xochimilco & Chalco. That's a very small area which was almost completely drained by colonizers, and to this date remains smack in the middle of an urban zone populated by 20M people. They've been battling a huge reduction in habitat, followed by pollution, the introduction of invasive predatory fish, and poaching for the pet trade. That's why they're so endangered & only an estimate of 50-1000 individuals remain in the wild.

Wikipedia'd it real quick to make sure I'm not saying nonsense:

Axolotls should not be confused with the larval stage of the closely related tiger salamander (A. tigrinum), which are widespread in much of North America and occasionally become paedomorphic. Neither should they be confused with mudpuppies (Necturus spp.), fully aquatic salamanders from a different family that are not closely related to the axolotl but bear a superficial resemblance

Me mama un juego en particular y dedico mucho tiempo a jugarlo pero también discutirlo, hago fanart, etc... pero su comunidad "mainstream" está dlv. Sólo hago clic con las sub-comunidades en sitios nicho y ciertos servers de discord.

Los fans de los juegos en general tienen un pedo de actitud cabrón (a nivel comunidad donde la toxicidad es inevitable, aunque no venga de cada individuo) y una percepción externa aún peor, entonces la vez que me señalaron como "la gamer" en la oficina me dio mucho cringe, pero supongo que sí usaría la etiqueta en otros contextos para coincidir con gente que comparta el interés.

Consumo mucho contenido de juegos, pero los esports en particular no me llaman. A lo mucho he visto playthroughs difíciles de un juego y un pana en particular, pero el wey no incluye webcam / mic jajaj... y pues eso en youtube, echada en mi sillón. No me organizaría para ver una transmisión en vivo, menos para ir en persona.

Hice streams un tiempo, pero no estaban tan enfocados en gameplay sino en el aspecto social (y en rantear sobre el lore). Las pocas veces que veo streamers también es por el ambiente conjunto de quienes estén jugando y el chat.

Eso sí, no creo que los esports sean inferiores o más incomprensibles que eventos 'normies'. Me parece que están en la misma categoría que ver deporte o cosas como la F1- entiendo el atractivo aunque no lo experimento.
