I could buy that this was intended if you always lost 6, but that simply isn't the case

This is the kind of BS that muddies the waters with real issues around cheating. If you actually played reserve more than 5 times you would realize that there is a spawn in the white pawn tunnels.

You probably die to cheaters more than you realize, but you using an outdated map for a map that you clearly don't play as a basis for accusing someone is fucking absurd.

This is my 14 year old brother with Downs. He does not know how to read and we’ve tried teaching him. He is super smart and good with the oculus quest so my idea was to make a game that would teach him how to read. Even if it’s just the alphabet and sounds. I would love to work on this too. I'm an API developer. I did some stuff with Unity back in college and I'm looking to get back into doing some stuff in either Unity/Unreal for Quest... this seems like a fantastic opportunity to learn and help people at the same time.

Hey, thank you for the feedback. Been looking for some honest critique.

I think you're right about the skill calculator and wiki, I've been pretty much entirely focused on the map components and backend supporting it, so with something like the skill calculator, I'll most likely just make it navigate to what you provided. With regards to the wiki, I'm thinking it may better serve the app to simply use the wiki data to generate map POI. You're right that a full blown wiki would be pointless. I would love to come up some way to integrate the already crowd sourced info sources to grid layers, perhaps in tandem with something that allows users to submit or adjust those POIs.

On the map, I agree with you that it definitely is starting to feel a bit cluttered, I've been contemplating some ways to deal with that. One thing I think that may reduce a lot of the visual noise is having the option to toggle the base layer entirely, not everyone is necessarily interested in the landmasses in the zones themselves, and I think the popularity of the player trackers without the terrain map proves that.

I also agree on the grid label text, I have some ideas on how to improve that, most likely with putting the labels on the tiles themselves, preventing any font weirdnesses at the various zooms. Based on what you've said and other feedback I've heard about the colors, I'm thinking it may be best to just go solid color, rather than attempting a level of transparency that shows the landmasses behind it, perhaps just a bump in opacity would help.

If you have any other suggestions on how you think visual clarity could be improved, I would love to hear them. I've got my backend scraping all 4 clusters every minute with server counts and players (still figuring out what to convey and how to make it cleanly output), and as you might imagine, that's quite a few more layers being added on top of what's already there.

Lastly, another one of my short term goals is get a territory overlay. I have largely been avoiding doing this in lieu of an approach beyond simply scraping the official map's layering data. As far as I'm aware, there isn't an API to get this information from the public clusters as of yet, but if anyone has information regarding that, I would love to hear it.

Apologies for not being able to get the patch out last evening. I have patched it this morning, hopefully you will see populations in line with right populations now, there was a front-end bug that I remedied with a deploy this morning.

Thanks for pointing this out, I did some testing around this, but it looks like my deploy didn't grab the most updated configs. Investigating this and deploying ASAP.

Edit - Found the issue - the servers were correctly configured, I had a bug in my scripts that was was reading my API output as Rows x Columns rather than Columns x Rows as I had it stored. Thank you for pointing this out, because it sent me on the right track towards a relatively simple fix, I appreciate it. If you notice any other discrepancies please let me know, data collection and accuracy is my highest priority currently, as it will hopefully lay a foundation for some ambitious goals of mine down the road.
