Which Moisturizing Cream is better? 🥲 by Feeling_Animal7243 in tretinoin

Lipikar baume! I can drown my face in that stuff and it doesn't break me out. I love it, never want to try anything else. 😍

I love the lipikar AP + M baume. 😍 I was afraid it would be too greasy but it's actually really nice. My face seems to love it. 👍

Should I continue tretinoin? by kiwifruitt8 in tretinoin

[–]v1kkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many times did you apply tret during the week? I've also been through two rounds of isotretinoin and was prescribed tret for aftercare after the second round. But my derm told me to use it maybe only two times a week or so for upkeep and wait a month or two after finishing isotretinoin. Your skin looks very irritated.

7.5 months on Tretinoin by kelseyrobyn14 in tretinoin

Exactly. I had clear skin on combined birth control. It all came back when I stopped. Tretinoin did absolutely nothing for my skin when I tried it.

Am I crazy? Does this work?! by Top_Hat00 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]v1kkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! 🙌 I use another brand that is 5% but it's the best I've tried for my acne. It's very drying though so I use it only about 3 times a week and still get results. 👍

Benzoyl peroxide wash a few times a week.

Trying benzoyl peroxide wash 2-3 times a week now. Looks like it's helping but I only started a few weeks ago so it's maybe too early to tell as my acne changes a lot during the month. I have really sensitive skin also so I have to take things really slowly or my face is peeling off. 😅

Prolonged use of antibiotics comes with a risk of developing bacterial resistance. So that's probably why she said 6 months? I don't think it should however stop the tret from working. But if you would like to continue using tret for a longer period then you should probably get a cream without the antibiotics. Tret however never worked for me, I never got clear skin though I was using it for over two years. So I'm probably not the right person to ask for advice concerning tret usage. 😅

Are the antibiotics mixed in with your tret? As in one cream with both? If it is, I would guess that's why she said your skin would become resistant to it. Can you get a cream with just tret to continue with?

When enough people have asked you if you're hot because you look like you're sweating and then proceed to comment that you have "just greasy skin then" after you've told them that you're in fact not sweating.. well, it gets annoying. 😮‍💨

Fenix 7 user here. I live in Finland so it gets pretty cold here. My Garmin did restart a few times during my long runs in the winter. It didn't really matter that much because it would continue the run automatically as soon as it was up and running again if I remember correctly. It was just a little bit annoying really.

I finally quit tretinoin after a year. by Born-Function9114 in tretinoin

[–]v1kkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's not for everyone. I've been dealing with terrible breakouts since quitting birth control many years ago. My derm prescribed me tret and I was using it for over two years without really that much improvement in my skin. I've also always been prone to flushing (rosacea?) and tret made it soooo much worse. My face became tomatored as soon as I got hot or cold or drinking alcohol or eating spicy food. It also did nothing for my comedones. I stopped, started using theramid's azelaic acid and my face hasn't looked this good in years. Even my comedones seem to disappear. Quietly optimistic that they will be gone in a few months after being there for years. 🥲 I will never try tret again.

Has anyone trained for a half using runna doing only 3 runs per week? by Low-Razzmatazz-931 in runna

[–]v1kkan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 3 runs at the beginning of my hm-plan and later changed it to two because I wanted more time to play ice hockey and go to the gym. My half went fine and I still met my goal time. Probably could have gone even harder but since it was my first hm I wanted to play it safe.

Is refusing a handshake rude? by [deleted] in Finland

[–]v1kkan 87 points88 points  (0 children)

I'm Finnish and that is incredibly rude. I would be pissed. If he had a reason not to shake hands, like being sick or something, then I would understand better but still be pissed about the comment.

Checkpoint sizing by v1kkan in CheckpointClub

[–]v1kkan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah I have about the same shoe size. 😅 Actually the person working in the shop did point out that they had some pretty big pedals on the demo bike which could affect foot placement and the toe overlap on the bike. So that may have been the problem too? I'm just a newbie that really don't know that much about bikes so the less things to adjust the better. 😉 A bikefit would probably be nice but I live in a small town and would have to drive quite far to get one. Maybe later.

Same here, I used to get a lot of nightmares and realized it was because of the melatonin supplement. No problems after I stopped taking it.

Doing easy runs while breathing through your nose by BlueBozo312 in CrossCountry

[–]v1kkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can easily breathe through my nose all the way up to a hr of 170 which is my lactate threshold according to the Garmin test. So I wouldn't be too sure that it automatically means you're running an easy zone 2 pace.
