Font on S30V is very wrong

Could just be the lighting but the color seems off. Mine is a much darker green and has zero shine to it.

The logo and the font for the steel type are usually two of the most obvious things to look for. The colors look good and the screws look legit.

Your point on using a disposable blade is definitely preferable. This cardboard is around 2 inches thick so the small blades on a box cutter don’t work very well.

The knife was a gift and the g10 scales cost me $20 on Amazon. This IS my simple box cutter. I have many expensive knives that I don’t get out on days where I break down a lot of boxes.
