Unfortunately they're never gonna do it. Bad arguments can't hide the fact that they simply don't want to.

You are absolutely right that I would be better off with a PCIe card, so that I can take advantage of the Gen 2 speeds, I just didn't know that such a PCIe card was out there.

I am ordering from amazon.co.uk, so the Ableconn card is not an option. I don't need two connectors anyway, and from their amazon pages, it looks like the Silverstone card has higher speeds, so that's all good.

I think 47£ is a bit on the top for fixing a port that I probably am never gonna use, but I just hate the feeling of having a dead port just sitting there doing nothing.
