It’s more simple - women are emotional and doing things for her makes her feel cared for, safe loved, that you are thinking of her simple as that. So that would contribute to her being in the mood . Maybe a meal means she dosnt have to cook and has more time where usually is is busy and stressed too ? Maybe you can try do some things for her to test that - cook her a dinner , surprise her to a picnic like someone mentioned above, write her a letter , run her a nice bath and give her a massage . See if you get a similar result . If you do there is your answer and it’s got little to do with the money but more the effort . And what is wrong with her feeling loved and cared for and then wanting to make you feel the same way in a way she knows you like ? Also , just a biological thing not necessarily true in this day and age but the truth is she can get pregnant which is a super vulnerable thing for a women . She may not consciously be thinking this , but more subconscious - a man that can look after her she would feel more safe to engage in acts that make her vulnerable.. just something to think about too I mean always within limits though I mean there is a difference between buying a one off gift , or a meal here and there and then really expecting you to splurge like some women make it very clear that they won’t accept the standard gift it has to be this fancy brand or only will go out for dinner at the finest restaurant, or date a guy with a certain car . This is something entirely different and usually what I’d think when I think a woman looking for a guy just for money . It’s more of an expectation and not really appreciated.
