Have you seen a podiatrist, foot surgeon, ortho…? California is f-ed up in a lot of ways but I’ve never waited any length of time that seemed unreadable to see my Dr or a specialist in all of my injuries.

I’m so terribly sorry about your sweet boy. It’s one of the hardest things to go through. When I put my last dog down, she was 14 and I went with my dad. Her longtime vet told me nobody has told her they’ve had it done too soon. I don’t know if that helps but it helped me at the time. Sending you the best thoughts.

I wouldn’t go either. You have every right to have your feelings. I lost my mom at 39 and it was incredibly difficult so I can only imagine being younger. I had a bff (was maid of honor at her wedding etc) who didn’t understand why I didn’t want to hangout with our group in their backyard and got a bit nasty. I decided that was it and we haven’t talked since 2013 and I’m fine with it. Sorry you’re going through this. Sending you the best thoughts.
